Search problems

Presently, I am enjoying a Search problem. Here's how it goes: I type in Ebenezer and the first that comes up is 1Sam 7:12, when it should be 1Sam 4:1.

True, I am set on the Fuzzy Search (and not sure how I got this by a seeming default) but I do not know how to get into what I understand is a basic Search. I don't see it in the list of options.

I'll post a screenshot here to show you what I have up before me. As to the Search for Ebenezer, notice the verses in the list after 1Sam 7:12, Ebenezer is not so much as shown.

I realize there's something I'm missing but what that something is, is beyond me other than my right mind. Therefore, your help will be appreciated.

Click on passages rather than fuzzy

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank you for your quick & appreciated reply. Here's another screenshot of what I have before me at present, when clicking on Passages. I'm still missing something or not doing something correctly. See if you can make any sense out of this picture.

I don't read dark mode but check your spelling for an extra space

I've put in Ebenezer and Eben-ezer, and nothing works. Believe this or not, just after I initially posted, I got it working but not sure how. Trying the find out, I hit the backward arrow key, and then cannot get it back to where it was working. Total confusion! Lol

Eben-ezer works for me - I used Factbook to find a verse containing it then looked that verse up in KJV1900 to get the spelling. I would normally use place:Ebenezer picked from the pick list so I didn't have to track down the variant spellings. If those don't work is your match case on?

Got it! Well, I got it because you gave the proper instruction. Apparently, it was the Match Case, and the spelling, which is Eben-ezer. I'm totally amazed at how simple things throw me for a complete loop.

Thank you once again, MJ. Smith for your expertise & patience. Always appreciate you being around!
