Septuagint translation producing nothing

I have Logos 10 Gold (I think) and I can't seem to figure out how to get anything to show up on the Septuagint definitions section of the word study. It tells me I should have options to link to a LXX in my library, but none are showing up in the drop down list. I do have a couple versions of the LXX in my library, but I can't figure out how to get them to show up in that drop down.

I've searched the forum, but nothing has helped. Really hoping one of y'all know the solution here.

Thanks so much!

Hi John - and welcome to the forums

Do you have any of the LXX resources shown here?

And can you post a screenshot showing the Bible Word Study Guide you are using (use the paperclip icon in the forum editor)?

You also need the reverse interlinear for that Septuagint.

Hi there. Thanks for replying. I'll attach a screenshot of my library search for "LXX" as well as what my dropdown list looks like. I'm not even sure what resources to look for / purchase from Logos to get this to work. As a work around, I did a power lookup of the word I was studying, and that provided a nice bit of information and resources for me, so I'm not "dead in the water," so to speak.

Thanks so much for your time!

Looking up what I own on Logos.com, it shows that I have Rahlfs Septuagint w/ reverse interlinear, but that's not showing up in the dropdown.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The two LXX bibles I would expect to find are not showing in Library:

    • Septuagint with Logos Morphology  (Rahlfs)    ----> post a screenshot showing ownership in logos.com
    • The Old Testament in Greek according to the Septuagint (Swete)   ---> you have the Apparatus only, which is strange.

Then you need a reverse interlinear with both bibles. What Feature Set do you own, or do you have a subscription (which one)?

I have the Pentecostal / Charismatic Gold library. Here's the screenshot from the website saying an own Rahlfs. However, it does not show up in a library search in the app itself.

A search for Swete in my library produces this result:

Thanks so much for your help here. I'm so confused.

Thanks so much for your help here. I'm so confused.

Check if you own Septuagint with Logos Morphology in logos.com.  Do the same for The old testament in Greek according to the Septuagint.

Just paste the title in the Search box. You are looking for the bible.

    Yes to both those titles.

Finally, check that Logos is logged into the same account as you use for logos.com.

If that is so, run Update Resources in the Command Box.  It could take a few minutes to check all your resources.

    OK, quick update:

The Logos Septuagint was in the hidden resources. Once I unhid it, that resource became available for the Septuagint Translation in Word Study tabs. However, The OT in Greek...(Swete) in my library seems to be an apparatus(?) not a Bible like you mentioned. Not sure if that means anything, but I wanted to point it out.

Either way, I now have a working LXX translation in my word study tab, and that makes me happy. Thanks everyone for your help!

The Apparatus and the Bible are different books, but their titles are expected to be similar.

I'm glad that you found the Logos LXX bible, but did you run the Update Resources command for the other Swete LXX?
