Notetaking App

I am looking for an alternative to Evernote. I haven't used it in a long while but it appears that now they have greatly increased the price. I had a look at Zoho and a couple of other apps. What are you using to manage your notes? Does the Logos Notes app do everything you need it to do? I plan to use it in my studies and in generating book summaries. What do you suggest?

I used Evernote for a long time and then switched to Notion which works great for me.

Logos for everything Bible related, Notion for everything else.

I switched from Evernote to Apple Notes. Great free option if you are in the Apple ecosystem. I use both Logos notes and a standalone notes application (Apple Notes). i use apple notes for scanning documents in as pdfs and cutting and pasting screen shots and other media. I use Logos notes to capture notes and insights on books in my Logos library. I have one main “Bible note” notebook. The tagging feature is great as I can see any Bible notes that I have captured on any passage. For all other books in my Logos library, I will create a separate notebook for each book to capture my notes.

Thanks Bryce. I think this is a great suggestion. I am not part of the Apple group. I do have an iPhone but my iPad is so outdated many of my Logos books won't open in it. Most of my study is done on Windows Desktop.

For what I want to do probably any one of them will do what I want which is basic study notes and then compiling them into book summary like documents.

When Evernote subscription went up, I migrated from years of Evernote use to MS OneNote. Migrating took half a day to migrate using the migration tool.

I have never looked back and like OneNote better. Takes a little getting used to--like an hour or two of use. Then it's nothing but better. Syncing folders among devices is a pain till you get it done.

You may have to go to Github to find a functional migration tool.

Depends on what you are using Word or OneNote for. You have to figure that out. But you can almost have the best of both worlds by embedding Word docs in OneNote. Content is searchable.

I don't do what is described above -- or rarely. I use each for its own purpose.

Docs for docs. Notes for assorted notes.
