Source Request Judaic Background of John

I want to request a list of sources on the Judaic Background of John. I have searched Logos but have a very little library. I do not have the AI features of Logos Software. I was told this is a good book John and Judaism: A Contested Relationship in Context. Does anyone have any resources or thoughts?

No someone had my thinking back to this and said John was a Jewish author. I wanted to find evidence.

It's ironic you say 'John and Judaism'. John the traditioned author, or John the writing.

An interesting book: If this be from Heaven: Jesus and the New Testament Authors in their Relationship to Judaism It's not very satisfying, primarily because there's really not much hard data to work with. Patterns, etc. Primarily 'John' is discussed as a jewish community, complete with a location (Egypt).

Another author I'm now reading (Origins of Early Christian Literature ... by Robyn Walsh) makes an interesting point on scholars' attachment to 'communities', in such a way that the author is a empty/blank face, residing in the all important 'community'.

I have read a lot of these books but none of them relate to John's writings or the author named 'John.' I have not read Wylen's or Byers' works. Any advice on sources that may discuss this further?

They don't explicitly use John but they implicitly apply to John. Research is not just collecting what others have already said, it is applying information that is related to John but has not explicitly been put to that use. This means you need to work on having enough comprehension to be able to apply the contents of the books I suggested to John even if that means reading them slowly and multiple times. Taking notes, summarizing, outlining ... whatever works for you to reinforce the content of the book so that you can see how it applies.
