Hello, so I don’t know if there is a bug in the system or an Apole update or something but my logos mobile app does not read to me anymore.  It glitches out and cycles through multiple pages before stopping (none of which have any sound at all) I uninstalled and reinstalled it on my phone and same problem.  This is frustrating for a college student that drives a lot and haves tons to read that I cannot do duet to this problem. (I click on the little megaphone looking thing while reading books and indoor knkw what else is going on). Anyone else having this issue or just me?

Similar issue - I will start a book and after a few moments the narrator drops although it appears to still be playing. I ran through a uninstall and reinstall process with no change.

  • Whoahhhhhh where is this feature?

    Whoahhhhhh where is this feature?

It's available for most books in the mobile app by tapping the speaker icon at the top right of the screen

It does require the Bronze Feature upgrade or higher.

Has there been any progress on getting a resolution to this issue? It is incredibly frustrating.

This is a major problem. It starts, then cuts out. Never used to happen, but now the read aloud feature has been broken for months. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Logos, are you guys working on this?

When it cuts out, a “back and forth” progress bar thingy appears above the battery/network icons (see screenshot). This is the only time I ever see this symbol.

For reference, the problem is only on my iPhone. Read aloud works on my iPad and MacBook. I wondered if it had to do with iPhone being connected to data, but the problem still happens in airplane mode and with background refresh and cellular data turned off for the Logos app.

We've done a deep investigation into this issue and it appears that the Logos app isn't the only app experiencing this problem.

Our suggestion is to re-download the voice you are using when the failure happens and/or try a different voice.

Please let us know if either of these workarounds resolve your issue.

    Yes! thanks Ali!

So by default I got a new phone and HAD to do all the voice downloads and it works again! 🙌 luckily even when phones are swapped iCloud kept my book progress up to date so I just clicked on ehat needed to be read and wolah.  It did take a while to see my favorite voice which is Evan “enhanced“ so not it makes me plow though my books like always.  Reading does take a bit of battery but also would reading books of antiquity the ol fashioned way as well. 😉 best of luck.  Just click the little megaphone icon and you’re off and running.

if I didn’t get a new phone then I would imagine you would uninstall the Apple enhanced voices then redownload it so that it can read logos to you.

best of luck ladies and gents 🍻
