New Tab Screen Customization
As I was trying to organize my Logos resources today, I realized that I would love it if I had the option to switch to a customized layout of the resources listed in the "New Tab" screen. A simple ability to add tools/resources/etc. to that screen and then drag and drop them around would be of enormous benefit to me. Has this functionality ever been considered?

I'm not sure what you mean with "NewTab" screen ... The ability to add tools/resources/etc. to a place from where they can be dragged and dropped already exists with self-arranged groups in the "Shortcut" part of the main toolbar and also in the "Favorites" tool which can be arranged to one's particular needs.

To the best of my knowledge, no. But I am having a bit of difficulty visualizing what you are envisioning. The new tab left-side content is built from your actual usage, I believe.

Thank you Wolfgang and MJ. I apologize for not being more precise. The screenshot below is what I am referring to by the "New Tab Screen." I did assume that it was organized by my usage, but it would be more helpful to me if I could personally organize the content. I am aware of the ability to drag and drop resources in the shortcuts sidebar and favorites tool, and I can see therefore how my request might be seen as superfluous. However, if you take note of the amount of space on my screen dedicated to the "New Tab" content vs the shortcut sidebar or favorites tool (when opened) it might be easier to understand why I would find this to be a helpful feature.

Ah, there is another reason that I couldn't quite visualize what you meant. I rarely use the new tab option outside a small panel so I rarely see blank space. And I tend to use it only when I wish to reopen a recently used resource. I could see the left side divided into a fixed user-selected "pinned" section with the usage-based section below. That would support both uses of the panel. Add it to the feedback site to see what others think.

That sounds like a great solution: Adding the ability to pin items and organize those pinned items. Users who only want the current functionality could simply abstain from pinning anything. Thank you for adding clarity to my thoughts. I'll go ahead and submit it to the feedback site.

I hadn't looked at add-tab recently ... thank you, Aaron.
The part you discuss, for me, is basically my layout, last resources scrolled etc
But the right-side is interesting. It works pretty neat, for monographs (terrible for journals). I wish they would port the logic to Logos.com. I'm always wanting something similar, during my shopping, like Amazon does.

It seems like it is some sort of poor alternative to "Library", opening a new tab "blank panel" with some sort of "suggested items" to select from to then fill this new tab/panel. I use Library to find a resource which I then open via drag and drop or a click. Resources I want to have more readily available are part of a layout or else in shortcut bar or favorites tool.

Agreed. It's quite nice, that functionality. It seems to function similar to parallel resources, using your last opened resource as the benchmark. However, I believe it more specifically includes "similar" resources, rather than parallel resources, as it encompasses a wider range of books.

I understand your use, and I agree that with the current functionality this is the best way to get around. However, if the suggested functionality were included, the "new tab" feature would be more useful to me. I understand that not all users will find such a change necessary, but in my view it would be a helpful addition to the shortcut sidebar.

Like Wolfgang, I simply never use that "New Tab Screen." However, with pinned resources---I certainly would.
Logos could ferret out related sources--somehow, by type, I guess. Then it would show pinned resources at the top of side of those, which would be like "super preferred" resources.
Anyway, I voted in favor of the idea.

Well, now that I understand. The 'pin panel' would be great in both Add-Tab and a tab in the Library (versus constantly play with tags for 'next at bat').
