How do I remove filter? It appears when ever I open new resources.
Assuming this is what you mean, when your mouse is over a filter you can click the little arrow at the right that appears and select the do not show option.
Sadly you have to do it to each filter you cannot do the whole category.
Thanks a lot Kevin for the answer to my question. It is very annoying. Every book I open I have to click on it to desapir.

Did you select the do not show in any books option?
For this confusing matter, there is no such option.

Please post a screenshot showing the filter you are talking about.
That looks like a visual filter
If you can identify it from your set of visual filters, you should be able to disable it for all books using the option outlined below

It doesn't work.
It doesn't work
Please ensure you have removed the check mark to the left of the "Visual Filters" dropdown list. Removing this check mark will disable all visual filters. If this solves your problem, the next step would be to look more closely at which filter specifically you do not enjoy. This may consist of a trial and error process of enabling again the check mark next to "Visual Filters" and removing it from individual filters specifically from the drop-down menu. I suspect the reason it "doesn't work" is because you have not yet disabled the offending filter.
I have disabled the visual filter and it doesn't show up any more, but this is not a solution I am going to loose all the advantages of the visual Filter.
Tes, please consider the fact that "Visual Filters" is not a filter in and of itself. Instead, it is a group heading that includes a drop-down list of specific visual filters that can all be turned on and off individually. Turning "Visual Filters" off turns them all off at once. But if you want to keep some on while turning others off, you have to work with the drop-down list to turn them on/off individually.
Tes, your screenshot shows a "Passage List" visual filter active, not a regular visual filter.
How do I get out of it? Having done everything I could to fix it, I was connected via Teamviewer to Logos technical support, after trial and error his only advice was to live with it.
Hi Tes
How do I get out of it?
I'm still not quite sure what the problem is - I've annotated your screenshot with a couple of boxes
Is your issue that you are seeing highlights such as outlined in the green box?
Or is it that you are not seeing all of the Bible, just selected passages? If that is the case, try clicking Remove filter (outlined in orange)

I can see that you have misunderstood me. My problem is that I hate the "remove filter", I just want it to go away.

If you click it, it should go away.
And it shouldn't come back unless you start from a Passage List and click the Open all button
Is it not working that way for you?
Unless I am still misunderstanding you.
Are you saying that you want to keep the visual filter on, but get rid of the words "Remove filter" in the upper right corner of your screenshot? If so, I understand now more fully your problem. If I have understood correctly, I also understand why Tech support would encourage you to try to live with it. I don't think it's possible to remove those words.

correct!

Tes, the function to remove the Passage List filter has to be somewhere on the panel toolbar. Where would you like it to be? Do you prefer an icon to a button? Make a concrete suggestion as to how to improve the function - here and on the feedback site.

I want it to disappear.
That is not an option. We MUST have the ability to turn it off ... especially since I personally never want it on.

I would be very grateful if you could tell me how to turn it off.
I have tried a lot, the only way to get Desapper to work was to disable the Vidual filter, which I don't want. Even the technical support did not solve the problem.

How frequently are you seeing it? Or, in other words, how often do you use a Passage List to filter the Bible to a specific set of passages?

And the thing you seem to be describing - the Remove filter option - is not a Visual Filter. It is an indicator that a Passage List is being used to filter what is displayed in a Bible.
I mention this because I'm still not sure I really understand the problem you are trying to address
How frequently are you seeing it?
I see it only from a resource that I open for the first time after this incidence has happened. I don't see it again from the resource I clicked on once.
Tes - I'm really sorry but I'm confused.

The only way I know of to get the Remove filter that I think you are referring to (and that I have outlined in orange below) is by clicing Open all in a Passage List (that I have outlined in blue)
Is this what you are doing?
If not, are you able to illustrate, using a screenshot, the steps you take to produce the filter indicator you are trying to remove?

It is exactly as you have shown it on the right, to show it I do nothing. It shows up on a book that I haven't opened, but once I have opened the resource, it doesn't come back.

Do you mean it shows up when you simply open a book from the library?
Or are you opening it in a layout?
What books are you seeing it in? It should only appear in Bibles as far as I know.

It appears in every resource. Only once I open the resource it does not show up again. If I have time and energy to open all my resources and uncheck from each resource then that may be the end.
It appears in every resource
Please post a screenshot - showing the entire Logos screen - after opening a commentary and a monograph that show this behaviour.
I really don't understand what is happening, hopefully that might help.
Okay, you have identified a bug where the visual filter is not checked in the resource when applied so it is not obvious which filter to turn off. I will report this.
BUG: Active passage list filter not checked in dropdown menu - Logos Forums
But it doesn't look like a visual filter MJ - it is as though the action of opening a resource applies a Passage List to it. (I accept Logos doesn't show what Passage List is being used which is strange). Or are you seeing something different?
Tes - do you get this if you open a monograph?
But it doesn't look like a visual filter MJ
Sorry - I see what you are saying. That it is the application of a Passage List Visual Filter.
Do you have any idea how it can be turned on automatically - which seems to be what Tes is experiencing?
Thank you you got it mJ.
Do you have any idea how it can be turned on automatically
I suspect it was turned on as "show in all resources" rather than being turned on automatically. I would do a search on the passages shown to find which Passage List to turn off.
As it can be seen from the screenshot. When I unchecked the Passage list the Remove filter goes away, but I am not able to make not to be shown all over the resources. It will only work for that resource. If I open the resource again the Remove filter will not appear any more.
It will only work for that resource.
Correct. One can only remove all instances at the specific passage list level. That is why I said I would find the correct passage list through a search so that I could do a remove all on that specific passage list.

Thanks MJ - yes, I was thinking that must be the case after I posted.
