The Future of Legacy Libraries

In light of the state of change that Logos has committed to, has anyone heard what the future of Legacy Libraries will look like this fall when Logos goes subscription? I've been slowly adding legacy packages over the last 2 years and would like to add more. I don't know if I should feel a sense of urgency for this, or if they'll continue to be offered in the same manner with like pricing after the rollout of the the Logos subscription model they're moving to.

Any solid information or best guesses?

Phil said if they would stop offering libraries or legacy libraries, they would let everyone know well in advance. But they have said they have no plans to do so. In fact it was recently communicated somewhere that we can anticipate libraries to be sold in the future much in the same way that they were sold in the past.

The subscription benefits listed above for features don’t apply to books in the same way, so we don’t foresee a time when we’ll stop selling perpetual licenses to books. ... Therefore, you will still be able to buy permanent access to Logos libraries and any other books from our catalog.

Only guesses - but I do hope based on what has been communicated.

The changes you refer to ("Logos going subscription" however that may look like) only are discussed with regards to features - which includes program functionality as well as datasets necessary to run them. The common message from all Logos employees has been to ensure that everything will stay the same regarding books.
The Legacy Libraries only consist of books, thus they are not necessarily affected by any changes to the program licensing model at all.
I believe Logos is making money of those since they have large attractional value to customers: they offer books at a great discount but keep in the price range of customers due to dynamic pricing, they allow people a second chance to get something they were not around to/not able to when it came along for the first time, and lastly they appeal to our collector's instincts. This all seems to me that it would be bad business sense to shut them down.

Given those thoughts, I don't expect any changes to the Legacy Libraries to come at all - but of course there could be other factors coming in (such as big publishers renegotiating their contracts i.e. no longer allowing the inclusion of their books into those packages).

My 2c - but I've seen other things vanish from one day to the next. If your funds allow, round it out. My point would be that the urgency to do so has not changed with the upcoming subscription model for new software features.
