A20 Indexing

The notes say that there will be a complete re-index. After installing the update, I see that the indexer first selected 11 files that needed indexing. After those were completed it selected 37 files to be indexed. After that, it said it was done. The total time was a little less than two hours. Is this typical of the indexing that was expected? Or should I be concerned that it didn't complete correctly?

My indexing experience upon upgrading to A20 was similar to yours--it seemed a tad short to be a full index. I decided to go ahead and run the "rebuild index" command. The ensuing re-index took much longer than the previous automatic indexing. So, I could be mistaken, but I don't think the full re-index happens automatically.

Indexing was brief for me as well. I was expecting several hours but that was no where near the case. I can't say how long it actually took since I set it up and walked away from it. When I came back an hour later it was already finished and ready to go. I know that I went back to the passage I am preaching from Sunday and all my resources were there. I originally attributed it to the i7 in my MBP but perhaps indexing speeds are picking up?

So I wonder if a full re-index is necessary. I also noticed that the same day that A20 released, the PC version also had a small update and similar re-index.
