Subscription is not justified just because it costs Logos, say, $X/year to maintain the features

Unlike others have posted, I have successfully recommended Logos to students from various countries. I don't have a tally, but many have been interested in Logos and are users today. I don't know their follow-up purchase habits. Admittedly, many of those with whom I work are not wealthy. Some are.
I have little contact with most, but among those I know, none are interested in a Subscription Model and they are watching uneasily to guess the future of Logos. I am not currently advising to buy into Logos until we learn more.
I keep imagining a short, simple list with check boxes and prices for the desired features. Click the features or services you want. Pay the price if you want. The most basic level would be fairly inexpensive and would be sufficient for big investors with large libraries. Then add whatever you want--AI, GadgetA, GadgetB, etc.
I have been happy enough with the 2-year upgrade plan. Keep it too. I doubt that there is any unpolished-feature (many) that I missed out on. Yet Logos has come a long way with many useful improvements. I would pay for some of those. I would even pay to finish off the ones that are fair but not good.

The point is that there is always a 1-time equivalent price to a monthly or yearly subscription price.
Sure, a simple model is "take the annual subscription price, multiply it by 50 (for "lifetime" access), then discount it (due to PV of getting the money up front)".
I’ll ignore the roundabout and approximate way you arrive at the 1-time price. But I see that you understand the finance principle behind computation of 1-time price. And I appreciate that given that you don’t seem to have highlighted any Finance skills in your LinkedIn profile.
I am curious...How did Logos arrive at the price of the Full Feature set of $800 (https://www.logos.com/product/228476/logos-10-full-feature-upgrade) that guarantees full functionality forever in the future?

I am reposting my last one just to get the thread back on its tracks.

No need to get back in track, just accept it and move on. Logos is not the only one doing it.
Camtasia is going subscription also and we won’t lose perpetual licenses that were bought before the subscription begins. So maybe people need to stop whining, panicking, worrying and all of the above! Have faith and whatever happens will happen no matter what.

Again, no need to derail this thread. If you can't contribute, please, please stay away.
I am simply pushing back against Logos's reasoning for subscription. Let Bradley who was kind enough to interact respond.

Whining..... Amazes me the need for comments like this directed towards people that dare speak up for what they are looking for as customers.... Which, by the way was requested and has continued to be requested by Logos....
