How to Look at the pictures when I turn the pages
In atlases or art books and encyclopedias, Christian Iconography Vol. I & II, and lots of other places, I sometimes want to browse through the images. What a wonderful, wonderful world this would be! (with apologies to Paul Simon)
So I do a Find Bar search for #image. Doesn't work.
I can...
- create a Book search
- limit the books to Open Books or a Specific book (Perhaps The Sacred Bridge)
- Search for #image
That works pretty good as a work around.
What doesn't work is to set the Search linkset to the resources linkset.
Why can't I use the Find Bar search with #image?
ANSWERED (I figured it out but thought this worth posting anyway):
- Use the top left Inline Search, not the top right Find Bar search (Ctrl + F). The lefty works great!
- You should try it! Search for #image. What a wonderful world it is now! Thanks Logos!
I do like Images of the Saints or any of the Verbum Treasury of Sacred Art series - Since these resources don't have inline search, I can use Ctrl + F as if in a Find Bar search and get a see all the images as thumbnails (Overview mode). Cool! Kudos for that!

Why can't I use the Find Bar search with #image?
This CTRL+F search is text only, without the bells & whistles of Inline Search or the Search tool. To find references you have to type the way it appears in the text of the book. But it accepts punctuation, so you can look for questions with ?.
You should try it! Search for #image.
Yes, Search and Inline Search will use #image to locate images.
Search > Media is a refinement as you can use a drop-down to specify what type of images. #image then acts the same as a wildcard *, but you can enter text like Jerusalem.
