Gigs of Download?
Does allowing Logos Pro Subscription to expire trigger resources to be redownloaded?
I allowed the trial to expire and now I have over 2.X GBs of updates trying to download - I have not purchased any resources, so really shouldn't have that large a download....
Or is there a massive update to resources that just dropped and just happens to be showing up when my trial expired?

So, the total download size continued to increase to over 3.3 GBs per Logos and 3.8 per Network traffic....

I can't believe it is intentional if so.

Have you checked your library to see what updated?

There is no massive update to users and one would not be triggered by unsubscribing. You should chat with Customer support about this.

It appears that a large part of my library was downloaded again, based on my Network monitor numbers. Logos after syncing with the servers for the first time since I allowed the Pro subscription trial to expire, automatically notified my of the 3.x GB of download.
The Downloaded folder found in the Resource Manager folder has 293 folders from the download.
My concern is that there is a bug that when subscription ends, it either deletes owned books when removing the license and/or resources you do not own or "confuses" the application into not recognizing that the owned resources are in the folder and requires download again.
This can be a big issue for those that have metered ISP accounts or limited connections.
I may contact Tech Support, but really don't feel like wasting my time on it. Since it will be a one time only action for me, as I will not subscribe again in the future. Hopefully Bradley, Mark or another Logos rep will see the post and they can investigate internally.
This incident adds to one of my concerns that Logos Pro is in a way a Beta Program that users pay to be involved in - something like this shouldn't make it into a stable release.

How many books are shown by Last Updated in Library? To be more precise you can use {UpdatedDate 3d} in Library for the last 3 days.

I think there were similar reports before. I have also seen this after I finished a trial of Logos Silver or similar. I seem to remember that it was suggested that there was a disconnect with licensing information between different servers. I have seen it where it tried to download huge amounts over and over again. After a while the problem seemed to disappear.

That's the odd part - with that search of the Library and I used it to go back 7 days just to compare, there was 1 updated resource for the past 3 days - which doesn't correlate with the volume of the download which both my Network Manager and ISP data use tracker show the 3.8 GBs downloaded.....
Based on my research - Logos downloaded the full volume and has almost 3 GB of "Downloaded" Resources listed in the Downloaded folder within the Resource Manager folder of the Logos install...
So it appears that when the license expired, Logos decided 3.x GBs of resources were missing and needed to be downloaded, but once downloaded, the application realized they were already in the Resources folder and never moved them over, never ran Preparing Library nor Indexing....

Are these possibly books included for free in the subscription that you already owned before the subscription?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

From the quick review of the Downloaded folder that I audited against my library prior to starting the trial, yes they are owned resources that were already downloaded and indexed....

I had a hefty download of >100 manuscripts and commentaries at the same time as Frank’s original post, but I haven’t cancelled my subscription. I think they are all resources that are part ofLPro, but assumed they were part of the normal run of routine updates. Not sure what it was about.
