I guess this is just a gripe without any expectation that anything can be done about it.

Actually they do, they just don't want to. It's the HCCP publishing conglomerate (owning Zondervan, Nelson and other imprints) - they want to only sell eBooks to customers at their official price list at local currency.
I am in the Bahamas and cannot purchase any of them. I pay the same as my American counterparts.

It's not ebooks they won't distribute in Canada. Amazon/Kindle has no problem selling it to me up here. Logos's loss. They probably don't have enough clout to have been able to negotiate a deal where they'd get enough of a cut on each sale in Canada to make it worth it for them.
