Buggy Shortcut Folders?
Mac. Latest updated Logos.
I want to customize my folders which includes deleting certain resources in the shortcut folders in Toolbar.
1. Right click resource in folder and pressing delete does nothing.
2. Right click resource in folder and clicking on the box which has Folder name, closes the window and nothing is achieved.

Right click on the detail (resource) and remove the folder name - clear and hit enter. Works for me on Win 11/beta 35

Thanks MJ. But I indicated above that it doesnt work. Any click in the box (in order to edit the folder name) closes that mini window—and nothing is achieved.

1. open the shortcut folder, 2. right click on resource name, 3. left click in folder name field, then delete that entry
This removes the entry from the shortcut folder. These steps need to be repeated for each item in the shortcut folder in order to eliminate the folder from the top toolbar shortcut area.

As mentioned. I know these steps. But this cannot be done because any click in the box (step 3) closes this mini window

what happens if you want to add a resource from the shortcut area to a shortcut folder, e.g. right click on a shortcut link in the toolbar, then left click in the folder name box to enter the name of a shortcut folder? Does the left click in the folder name box close the window? or are you able to enter a folder name and therewith add a resource link to the shortcut folder?
I am using Win 10 and Logos 34.1.9 and don't have that problem. Could you post a screenshot showing the problem?Wolfgang Schneider

Adding a shortcut icon to a folder via assigning it a folder name does work fine (as it always does). The box is good all is good.
It is the right clicking a resource in a folder and wanting to reassign it—thats the issue.
I am guessing this is a Mac problem.

It's hard to imagine exactly what you are doing, but does the window close if you attempt to rename the folder? Click in the part of the box with text of the folder name, as if to rename it. Delete the name and press enter.

Jonathan, I agree with your title; I just can't repeat your experience. But, I'm on a latest macOS and Verbum 32.1 (5 months ago). I also watched your video. I notice you're left-menu; my above experience was with top menu, but either way, it works for me.
A long-shot ... the Verbum Mac still has the old bug that picks up popups (confuses) from a window directly below. Do you have a floating-window below where the folder right-click panel locates?
Regarding your title:
- Entries in folder ignore text/image setting (sloppy design maybe)
- Right click an entry > floating window opens to a tab regardless
- App moves the menu position to far left, ignoring user position (lazy coding maybe)

When I right-click in the folder field, it doesn't close the popped-up window.0 -
Just to add: any button clicked (not just the field box mentioned) closes the window and nothing is achieved. Right click resource > open = window closes and resources is not opened.
A left click on the resource in folder does open the resource though.

Are you sure your Right mouse button is working ok?

I somehow don't understand what you are actually doing ... in order to try and replicate what is happening in your situation, one needs a more detailed clear step by step description to follow.
E.g., where do you "right click resource > open=window closes and resource is not opened"? Isn't it expected that a right click on a resource link doesn't open the resource, rather a left click does? What few points mentioned most likely seems plain and clear to you who has the screen in front of you, but may leave someone trying to help without seeing your steps clueless ...Wolfgang Schneider

Please see this https://www.youtube.com/shorts/I0V_vTk9CYg
: right or left click (you are suppose to left click the box here) has the same result.

I have watched your video clip ... and it does not help me to understand what's going on. The area of the workspace shown does not really provide enough "context" of what your workspace looks like. Neither does it show the steps you have taken to get to that situation when you click the mouse. [:(]

I have tried to reproduce your problem by setting up a folder and it seems to be acting as I would expect. Of course I use a two finger click on the trackpad as I wouldn't know where to find a mouse these days.

It might be helpful if we can see a video of the full screen of Logos and the steps you took from start to finish. Maybe for testing purposes we could create a brand new shortcut and go that route so we can see all the steps from start to finish.

1. Drag resource to shortcuts bar. Rename folder for resource so it is in a new folder 'k'. All good.
2. go to new folder 'k'. right click resource with intention to change folder name. Mini window suddenly closes.

Jonathan ... clearly there's a bug. Just can't nail him down. I did locate another bug (not yours). If you return a list back to a simple shortcut, it holds on to the list bugs. The shortcut has to be deleted, and then re-done to eliminate the list bug.
