Can't get Logos to install on new laptop

I have a new laptop, Windows 11. I 'download' LogosSetup to C drive. When I open it to begin installation I receive the message "Setup was unable to download a required file." I have even tried to redownload to my desktop, copy to a flash drive and over to the laptop but the message stays the same. I am thinking there is some setting in Win 11 that's causing this, perhaps blocking the further download. Anyone have any solutions or ideas?

Welcome to the forums. Are you downloading directly from the website? If you are running Windows S, it is expecting you to download from the Microsoft store.

Try installing in Administration mode by right clicking the file and see if that helps.

I am downloading from logos.com website. I tried running as administrator but that didn't work either. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Welcome to the forums.

Sometimes this is caused by a metered connection (wifi or cellular).

Disable Metered Downloading

Confirm that the connection to the internet is not metered within Windows.

Select Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
Select your Wi-Fi network > Properties
Under Metered connection toggle Set as metered connection to Off.

Thank you Christian!!! That was the culprit! I have successfully downloaded, installed and logged in on the new laptop. My library is in the process of downloading and indexing. I am going to make a note of this issue and solution for my future reference as I am sure I will need to go through it again. Thank you again for your help!!!
