Hi All --

For some reason this morning I am unable to use function F7 on the Logos Desktop App for MacOS.  Is it broke just for me, or am I missing something?

I would appreciate another Logosian trying it out on their Mac to see if it is just a localised issue or the local operator!

    Hi Donovan,

Correction: it does work for me using the fn + F7.

I am on Logos 34.1.9 and MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1 and it is working for me. I assume from your post that you are hitting the 'fn' key while pressing F7.

After some testing, it seems that it works part of the time and part of the time it does not. It appears that after I open certain workspaces, it stops working. The only way I can get it to start working again is to completely close down Logos and restart it, then it resumes normal behaviour.  This is clearly a bug.

So... here's some screen shots to show the behaviour....

Works fine with a single Bible on a fresh start up of Logos...

    Works fine with this layout...

It does not work with this layout...

If I close this layout, then go back to a single Bible, it still does not work...

The only way to get this to function again is for me to completely close Logos and restart the programme... this time using a different english version, but no problem at all.

I can't replicate this while using the same layout as you as clicking F7 or Fn+F7 opens the quick comparison feature. We'll keep investigating but if you have any more information to help track down the issue, please post back to this forum thread.

I have good news and I have bad news.

The good news is that I loaded up many different layouts and did not experience this behaviour.

The bad news is that this one layout, the error is consistent. When I click Fn+F7, you can tell the programme is trying to do something because the stop lights in the upper right hand corner grey out, but the pop up does not appear.

I am going to try rebuilding the layout from scratch to see what happens. Interesting bug! 🐛 🫤

Well go figure... I rebuilt the layout and it works. If I load up the old layout, it does not work. Same resources, same linked panels, etc... bizarre bug.
