POOR FORMAT CONVERSION in "Heaven Ain’t Goin’ There: A Down-to-Earth Look at Eternal Life"

This book, by John Davies, is available in Logos, but the Company did a terrible job of converting it to the Logos format. The index is not hyperlinked, and throughout, large sections of text (not just Scripture quotations) are blue-HTML links that bear not relation to the subject matter. There are other errors too.

I have reported this problem a couple of times in the last year, but there doesn't seem to have been any action to re-process the book. This should be done, or the book withdrawn from sale on the Logos website.

This is a longstanding bug in the converter used for eBooks - probably simply the fact that more then one bible reference is in brackets. I concur it's annoying.

. Yes. It may help to raise this in the "Faithlife Ebooks"-forum as it is a specific bug in the converter only related to some eBooks.
or the book withdrawn from sale on the Logos website. By no means. This used to be the standard procedure and what does it result in? The book is no longer available for those who want to read the content. A book with some annoying formatting issue is still much better than no book at all. In fact the good chance this might happen has made me buying it now.

We have reformatted this book and you should see significant improvements.

However, indexes are not tagged for Ebooks, so you will not see any change there..

I received a supposedly updated Glenn Packiam Discover the Mystery of Faith last week and the lines run together at the paragraph level. My complaint to customer service was just blown off. Doesn't anyone proof read these things.

It’s been explained before that ebooks are produced differently and do not go through some kind of quality control. It’s an automatic process and it’s up to us to report errors so they can get corrected.

I get that. This was already a second-pass revision. How could someone not see this when it is all through the book?

Sorry, mab, improving this turned out to be more difficult than expected. We reconverted it, only to find out that it still needed further work.

This title has now been updated again, and I hope you will be happy with the result. But there might still be a delay before you see that updated version on your side.
