Logos needs to rethink the search functionality.

Problem:

Working with the Logos app on a mobile device requires an internet connection in order to allow the search function to work when long-pressing a word in a bible. The Olive Tree app, on the other hand, performs a search within downloaded resources while offline.

Internet connections/speeds are impacted due to the recent Crowdstrike incident. I found myself without an internet connection yesterday and couldn’t perform my normal workflow in the Logos app. I switched over to the Olive Tree app and continued my normal workflow because the Olive Tree app lacks that particular limitation.

Resolution:

Edit the Logos mobile app so that the search function works for downloaded resources while offline.

Benefits:

I realize this would require extra work for the app developers, but any extra work to make an app better than the competition is beneficial. I feel this change will steer the purchase decisions of customers as they weigh the benefits of the different bible apps.

Thank you for listening.
