Indexer at Vista start up
My startup (run once) registry section now has an entry "C:\Users\Stephen\AppData\Local\Logos4\System\Logos4Indexer.exe" /user:bpdgbmkk.ej4.
This means the Indexer starts every time Vista starts. It runs for about 5 minutes and crashes.

The indexer attempts to re-run itself until it completes successfully.
It looks like you told the program to "scan e:" ? It's now scanning your Recycle Bin on that drive, which contains resources you deleted because they were crashing the Indexer.
If you open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Logos4 key in Regedit, you should see a "ScanPath" (I think) value that lists all the folders you've told the program to scan. Delete that value.
If you want to scan for resources, please enter a specific folder path, not just a drive letter. (A drive letter is supported for a flash drive, for example, but scanning an entire local hard drive is not a good idea.)

Bradley,
The registry value was ...... E:\LDLS 3\here;E:\LDLS 3\here;e:\;e:\ldls 3\here.
Looks like it combined a few entries.
Does the scan command handle spaces in a path?
Thanks.

Yes, it does handle spaces (and you don't need to surround the path with double quotes).
