Please share your slides or "order of service"

Please help us better meet your needs!

I'd like to see examples of slides (PowerPoint, KeyNote, etc.) used in worship services, whether for lyrics, announcements, or sermons.

It would also be helpful to get some example "order of service" documents -- even if they're just a simple text file listing song titles, and where the announcements go in sequence.

We're trying to understand better what happens when the sermon preparation is done, and what "goes on stage" in the church service.

Can you use SongShow Plus slides and/or programs?

It would be a simple matter to package a program to go and send it to you, if you can open it (with SongShow Plus) for viewing. I believe the program can be evaluated for free (at least for non-corporate users) at their web site (which I found immediately by searching for it).

I do not have the slide shows going yet. I have been asked to help prepare these powerpoints.

What I currently see is a Title page with our church name and the date and the Sunday focus.

For any songs we have a title page with the name and where in hymnal it is. The following pages are the lyrics with pictures hopefully resembling something of the lyrics being sung. I am sure I, We could use more pictures for this part.

We have the OT Reading, Psalm, NT Reading, Gospel Reading. Title pages and passages.

For the Sermon, It is just a page with the Title of the sermon and the passage of scripture it is based on (just the reference)

I want to have more announcements actually on the powerpoint when I get into doing it.

We always say and have it on the powerpoints the Apostle's Creed and/or Nicene Creed.

The conclusion is Aaron's Blessing from Numbers 6.

Order of service template sent, along with this note:

We're a very small lay-run church with no slide projection. We don't bother printing the order of service in the bulletin; it's just a road map for those who are involved in the service that Sunday. We announce all the hymn selections and Scripture readings from the front and Scripture texts are printed in the bulletin in case people didn't bring a Bible (which most people don’t, because they’ve gotten spoiled by having the Scripture readings printed in the bulletin [:)]). We use the bulletin just for announcements and the Scripture texts, as well as a summary of the last Sunday’s sermon for people who might have missed it.

Bill, you could just upload the file to somewhere that gives you free web storage (there are tons of sites for that) and email Logos the public link to it, and they can download it from there. If you have a MSN or hotmail account, you can use Skydrive (a service of Microsoft's Windows Live). Or there are any number of others ones.
