Please consider voting for this excellent book: The Church of Jerusalem and Its Liturgy in the First Five Centuries: A Historical, Theological & Liturgical Approach by Fr Aziz Halaweh | Logos It illustrates the influence of Jewish worship on Christian worship. Think Egeria and Cyril of Jerusalem as major sources of information.

I voted, but I don't think I can wait that long.
At $4 US (a whopping $6 Canadian), I got the Kindle. Whoever did the formatting/prep work, did a good job (formatting, detailed TOC, and arts and charts). A lot of Kindle is not well delivered.
I read enough, to see if I should continue reading (pretty lengthy and sectioned). I'd say, at least for the early centuries, one should already have a good background .. the writer doesn't go deep into sources. But he does go where most early histories avoid (good).
Glad MJ recommended it ... definitely Logos and Verbum both (customers). It has some good art and diagrams ... Kindle tried hard.
I didn't wait. Got it. Your appraisal matches mine.
I own the book referenced here in print. It is a very good resource. This is needed in Logos for sure.
