I see you can create a search query like the following:lemma:φῶς INTERSECTS light
But is there a way to search for everywhere φῶς is NOT translated "light"?
I think "lemma.g:φῶς NOT light" should work. I'd double check to make sure match case is off.

I also find Bible Word Study helpful. Using Bible Word Study, you can do the following:
From Guides, open Bible Word Study and place φῶς in the search bar. You can choose the passages you which to search, as well as the translation.
Under translation, you can see how the word is translated in the chosen translation.

Understanding that one can use NOT INTERSECTS will probably help much for users interested in doing deep original language work, so I'd suggest not only fixing the colon-bug, but also considering this example to be put into the "advanced syntax" examples for Morph Search (where I suspect Mark picked up the original term)
EDIT: Interestingly, this search led me to an error in the RI data for LEB in John 1:9 which gives a hit for that search because there in the phrase to phos to alethinon the matches for "true light" are crossed over - please fix this! /EDIT

I don't understand exactly what you are reporting or how you got it. Can you post a screenshot and some clarification?

The search string that was in the search field (and I think this happened more than once to me this morning) after coming back fom the dialog box was :lemma.g:φῶς NOT INTERSECTS light - unfortunately I didn't think of making a screenshot - now, one restart later I can't repro in either Verbum 35 or Logos 36 Beta 1 (not 100% sure whether I used Logos 35 or the Logos 36 Beta earlier, but I think it would have been Logos after the upgrade to the Beta). Even if a colon character is left in the search field it will be overwritten as it should be, so I have no idea how this happened earlier today and can't repro. If I ever encounter it again I'll make a screenshot right away but for now we probably can lay this aside.
