SUGGESTION-Simple 3 tap to any verse in the Bible

The 3 tap method to any verse in the Bible is without a doubt the quickest and easiest to use method of navigation. It makes moving from one place to any other place incredibly simple and easy to do. Practically every other Bible software and app uses this method because it is again... the fastest and best way to navigate your way from one Bible verse to any other verse in the WORD of God quickly and easily. I think it's about time that Logos caught up with every one else in this area.

Graham... thank you for the reply. The 3 tap method I'm referring to is quite simple.

The first click opens a drop down selection box with the 66 books of the Bible.

From there you navigate to any verse in the Bible in 3 taps.

First click selects the book .... Second click selects the chapter .... Third click selects the verse.

You select the book... the chapter... the verse.

In approximately 10 seconds you can move from wherever you are to any other place.

Very easy to do and get used to.

And to be honest... since most people using other Bible apps and software are already using this method... it will make their migration to Logos much easier with a more familiar and user friendly method of navigation.

And, yes, this is how verse selection does work in the Logos mobile apps.

This is not currently available on desktop although it has been requested in the past.

Believe me... I am keenly aware that it is not available on the desktop program.

My problem is... I can't understand why it isn't.

It would resolve the difficulty of verse selection which now exists with the Logos Bible Study program.

I think it should be of the highest priority to the programmers to get this done as quickly as possible.

Every time I try to use Logos and give it another shot... for some lesson I'm putting together... The ease of use in verse selection found in all of the other Bible software programs I use... brings me back to them.

From a marketing stand point alone... being thought of as the most.. "NOT USER FRIENDLY" Bible software out there should get the job done I would think.

Come on guys... This isn't Rocket Science!

This would probably work better for those that have "touch" screens, but probably wouldn't work with those that don't.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I REALLY don't like the 3-tap search on the mobile. I find it significantly faster/easier to type the reference into the search box. E.g. gen 1 1 <enter> takes less than 1-second. I can then jump to any other reference the same way: jn 3 16. I love the way the desktop handles this.

I agree. If they implement this, I would never use it. Typing is way faster.

I've pretty much given up on reference box usability. My layouts use a lot of panels ("power of Logos!"). So, most Bible books, I'm typing in the blind. When the reference box goes short, it's still Deuteronomy 24:2, mostly hidden. So, I remember which linked Bible panel is where in the Bible. It's Logos Bible Software!

And yes, the mobile tapper is not best of place. Plus, yesterday, I updated the mobile, to see if it displayed resource (user) titles (nope; also still a mess).

I totally agree... The mobile app is far behind others available. I've been using Tecarta for years...it's free and works great.

… and that’s probably why I don’t like it. I avoid a mouse at all costs. I don’t like removing my hands from the keyboard.
