Newly purchased book does not open on by desktop version
I purchased a book recently and used the button "Open in Logos". On by desktop it says I "do not have a license to view this product". Then it takes transfers me to the Web App. And opens the book there. My priority Bible does not open in the Web, So I have to open it each time I access the Web App. And the big take away is that the notes do not transfer to the desktop app.
Do you know who I can open this new book on the desktop. I have other purchased books and they are all available on the desktop.

Hi Rayna
You mention a number of different things here:

If you open the Library on your desktop, do you see the book you have purchased?

Please see my response at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/200363/1308140.aspx#1308140

Do you mean you don't see notes that you have created on the web app when using Logos on the desktop?
Most of the above could be explained by using different Logos credentials on web and desktop - is that possible at all?
Graham
PS: I suggest starting new threads in the main web app or desktop app forums - not the Logos 9 sub-forums.

No it is not in my Library. I searched by Author and Title and there is zero. I saw that someone else had this problem and they were told they would need to call the Customer Support. But I find no number to call Customer Support.

enter update now in the command line to see if it downloads on request
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I am not sure which command line you are referencing. I have been looking at tools command line. Is that the one you mean?

No MJ is referring to the one that appears when you click the Logos icon
I suggest, though, using update resources instead. Enter it in the command box and then select the option from the dropdown menu

When I "update resources" and then "search all books for update resources" I get the same message, "You do not have a license to view this product."

At this point I am going to ask for a refund for this book. I have a hard copy that I will use. It is just easier on my eyes if I can view books on my computer.
Thanks for trying1

It sounds like you are selecting the option outlined in red below - whereas the one we are suggesting is the blue one - and it will take some time to run

I had tried the blue one and absolutely nothing happened. So I tried the red one.
I just tried the blue one again and absolutely nothing is happening. You said it would take some time. But when I enter this and choose "update resources" the command like blanks out and nothing else happens.

It is running in the background, without visible user interaction. If it detects a license to a book you own, but which is not in your library, it will add this book to your library (if your Logos settings allow, it will automatically trigger a download of those resources).Rayna Pinkerton said:I just tried the blue one again and absolutely nothing is happening. I'll try again. I will check in an hour to see if there is any change? Will it take more than an hour to run in the background? I

I agree with Graham.
Have you checked which account you're using to sign into the Desktop (or Mobile) applications and verified that it's the same account as you're using for logos.com?

You might also want to check that you aren't "working offline" in the Desktop app (or have "Use Internet" set to "No"); that would stop the software from downloading your updated licensing and installing the new book.

"Use Internet" is set to "Yes"

Using "r----n@----.com" for both accounts
