Layouts and Floating Windows

Is there a SETTING that would EXCLUDE Floating Windows from LAYOUTS?
I recently went from one monitor to 2 big ones + the laptop.
I am working my way through a lot of LOGOS/VERBUM training videos and also some other training courses. I would like to open/close Layouts while leaving my Floating Window alone because that is where I keep the Video Lesson.
The way it is now, when I open/close a saved layout from a lesson, it shuts down my lesson floating window and I have to reopen it. Yes it's a first world problem but I woudl like to know if someone has solved it?

As far as I know, the only "solution" would be to install Verbum as a second installation.

...or perhaps: If you are on macOS with a "M" chip, you could install the mobile app.

No. It will disappear when you open a new layout.
But you can always be on track if you open the Courses tool in a floating window from your new layout.
You can also open videos from the Shortcuts Bar into a floating window. The trick is to remember to close the floating window before saving your layout.
