What are your default or top priority Bibles?

This forum software is so old that I cannot set up a poll, but I thought it might be interesting to see what people are currently using as a default or top priority Bible.

For me it is currently the LSB. (was previously ESV)

Though I often have layouts with Hebrew or Greek where I primarily use the NET as an English comparison, because I like the translation notes.

NRSVue is often third for comparison... and then go on from there.

I just recently started using the NRSVue to examine the differences.

One of the things that I have found interesting in this thread, is the number of users who have the LEB in their lineup. I need to dig around on that one at some point!

Think through the implications. Complete original languages Bible is great but what about BDAG and HALOT? TDNT and TDOT? Zondervan Exegesis Dictionaries? The list can go on. Think through the implications and custom series will fine tune the priority list.

Thank you. The article convinced me to make the change. I had been waiting until it had gained a larger percentage of small bible group participants ownership, but I see the differences are solid grounds for discussion.

You can make a custom series on any book in the library. The easiest thing is making a custom series original languages Bible. I have made LHB and SBLGNT into a custom series original languages Bible. I have also done NA28 and BHS. But why stop there? If you custom series BDAG and HALOT then no matter if you are in the Old or New Testament the respective lexicon will open. Do this to all your corresponding lexicons or Theological dictionaries. You can also pick your favorite commentary from each book of the Bible and add it to a custom series and then prioritize behind your one volume commentary and no matter what passage you are in your favorite commentary will be listed first. These are just a few implications I have thought of over the years but I am sure there are more.
