I was searching for Thomas Oden and my searches came up with the lock symbol beside each result. I searched for Calvin and the same.
I know I have lots of each, but what am I missing?
Searching under "All"
mm.
A screen shot is always helpful. My first thought is are they in the cloud rather than downloaded? I've had some issues with that.
These locks appear. When hovering over them they say, "This book isn't licenced"
The icon to the left of the search item in the search field says, "This is an AI assisted feature."
I'm not sure if I selected something to make the searches like below.
If I understand your question, I believe you are seeing normal behavior for an All search with the new Logos Pro features. It searches well outside your library for results, bringing in references to works you do not own, hence the lock icon.
Mark seems to have hit the nail on the head. Try limiting your search to "books" instead and see if that helps.
So, the "All" search is new and brings in both those that I do not have a licence fore and those that I do?
Ok, that seems to work. Thanks. I guess the All search will "entice" more sales.
Sometimes you have to close your eyes.
Okay you tricked me and I fell for it:
Your screen shot shows the lock symbol beside SOME results - those that you do not own. If you want to suggest that owned results appear before unowned results, I suspect you would get some support. But an all search searches your library and the Logos catalogue so you are seeing correct results.
Especially on paydays. 💲
Thanks again both you and Mark.
The "AI assisted.." icon is misleading. The simple Search for Oden is an AI query with an AI summarize, and uses the entire Logos book catalogue. Oden theologian is also AI. But Oden AND theologian is a Precise search of your Library with an AI summarize because you used a Search operator.
