When ever I open a new Bible, the Insights Panel is automatically displayed. Now I like the IP, but I want to control its display. Is there a setting to stop it from always appearing?

There isn't a setting - Mark Barnes explained the rationale at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/224190/1306922.aspx#1306922

There are further discussions of this at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/224488.aspx

I hope we do get a setting for this but we will need to see!

Incidentally, as this is a beta feature at the moment, it's best to post in the beta forum - https://community.logos.com/forums/106.aspx - as that is where it is most likely to be picked up by developers / product managers etc.

For me the Insight Panel does not open automatically when opening a Bible. When I clsoe the sidebar before closing the Bible, I need to open the sidebar again to see the IP when I open the Bible. When I close the ESV with the panel open and close the NASB with the panel closed, the stays the same when I reopen the Bibles: ESV open with the panel automatically, but the NASB does not.

Not sure if this helps in any way

Yes - this is consistent with the guidance provided by Mark in the post I linked above.
