How do I find ר (Resh) with דגש קל (dagesh lene).
Printed editions of the Hebrew Bible vary in regards to the number of Resh with דגש קל/Dagesh lene. Some have 19 occurances while others have 17 or 15. I am curious how electronic or digital editions of the Hebrew Bible handly this phenomenon.
הַרְּאִיתֶם֙ is an example of this in 2 kings 6:32 :
QUESTION:
Using Logos 10 desktop is it possible to search for Resh with Dagesh lene?
And, if yes how does one do so?
Thanks in advance

I don't know how to search for a single letter. The form for a word is match.dagesh:word. But trying to play with wildcards and putting *רְּ* doesn't return any results.

Using a Find allows letter by letter searching. AFAIK a search does not ... or, at least, not efficiently enough to be useful.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Try the panel menu (three dots) at the top ... it is a character by character match.

I think the Find MJ is referring to is actually invoked by either Ctrl-F or Cmf-F (depending on platform) and then entering the search term in the box that pops up at the top right.
But it is quite limited - will be interesting to see if it gives you what you are looking for.

turning pink means no matches/no more matches
what I get from a test case ...
So, it may not work ... but for reasons I don't understand. There is something "special" as to how it is treating Hebrew.

Right. I tend to point people towards menus rather than keyboard shortcuts ...

No problem. But I am puzzled by why it doesn't appear to work. I thought it was a simple byte-by-byte match ... an exact match ... but it seems to be adding some other criteria into the Hebrew.

The following match.dagesh:*רּ* picks up 9 hits that is a nice start! Butit is less that the 17 or 19 hits I had hope to get. I guess I will play around with this one more...

Is seem like Logos should be able to search for a ר (Resh) with דגש קל (dagesh lene) but I can't seem to figure out.

I get 11 results in the Lexham Hebrew Bible. I don't know what I was doing wrong before. But I found a list in Notes on the Hebrew Text and Topography of the Books of Samuel that you might find interesting. I just did an all search for match.dagesh:רּ.
