How to deep search

Can anyone help me I'm looking for questions in Job.

I'm looking to find all questions asked in the book of Job I don't know how to do that also what answers can be found. can a response, being an answer be found... Supposed who created a heavens.... And God.

Technically it is two searches can anybody help me know how to do this

I am away from my computer at the moment.

If you have the Bible browser you can just the filters on the left side of the window to do such a search.

I responded to your FB post with:

Logos has a book called "All the questions in the Bible" which has a list of all the questions it has identified for each book in the Bible. That could be a good place to start.

Or you could do a search for propositionalOutline:Question or propositionalOutline:"Question (Yes)" constraining your search to the book of Job.

If you want both together you could combine them:

propositionalOutline:Question OR propositionalOutline:"Question (Yes)"

And you can generate these searches directly from the context menu if you right-click on any of the questions that you can identify and select the propositional outline option in the left of the menu.

Sorry but I don't know of a similar way to get to answers.

And if you don't know how to do any of the things above, please advise

Kenneth is correct, you want to use the Bible Browser tool. Just a proviso, that tool is internet based and you have to be connected to the internet for it to work.

to see if you have this tool,

1) Click on the Tools icon on the tool bar at the top of the main window.

2) Start typing the word "Browser" in the find box

3) Click on the icon for the Bible Browser Tool to open the tool.

Now assuming that you do have access to the tool you can start your search.

On the far left (Top) you can choose your Bible version to search.

Now again on the left you want to set (narrow down) the search to be in the book of Job.

4) Select "Bible Books"

5) Select Old Testament

6) Select Job

Then you need to tell The Browser that you are looking for questions so a bit farther down You will see "Sentence Type".

7) Select Sentence Type.

8) Now select "Interrogative Sentence" ... (This type is the asking of questions).

Now you need to select exactly woh is asking the question.

Farther down again you should see "Reported Speech"

9) Select Reported Speech.

10) Select Speakers

11) Select "God"

Note: The left hand side adjusts with each selection to show only pertinent choices.

Notice the Bread Crumb list at the top of the Browser Window. You can play with that to remove individual search parameters to then change them to something else for other similar searches.

To clear it out completely and start all over click "Start" at the Top Left of the Bread Crumb area.

You should now have what you are after and hopefully a rough idea of how to do other searches on your own.

Sorry but I don't know of a similar way to get to answers.

I am not a huge utilizer of the Bible browser but in putting together my answer above I found that the "Propositional Outline" section of the Bible Browser has an "Answer" subsection. It showed 2 answers to questions in Job. I do not know if that is accurate or not, I'll have to read & try to count 'em to see.

Would you guide me if you can how I would find every animal named in the Bible. Not specifically a reference to say "wild beast" or something like that but the actual animals themselves lion cobra locust deer and so on if you don't mind I appreciate

I'm mot home right now (I'm at work) but in using the Web app/Bible browser it appears that there isn't an "Animal" category.

I did all them searches in the bible browser and its absolutely great. Play new logos was very good and somehow it would show me to time what to do and how to look at things I didn't know about this function I heard of it but I never really thought about it

Yes it should - so this is strange

It is as though you don't have the required dataset enabled / downloaded.

To check this, please click About Logos - available from the popup menu when you click the three dots icon at the bottom left or top right of your main Logos window and then scroll down the list on the right. You are looookng for the one I have outlined below - please check if it shows up

If you check the Lexham Propositional Outlines Dataset Documentation, you will find that this requires the use of a Bible that has a Reverse Interlinear. Based on your screenshot of the right click context menu, it appears you do not own the Reverse Interlinears for that Bible.

I wondered about that Andrew - but the screenshot does show the interlinear icon at the top of the panel. Does that show if there isn't an RI

So I'm still struggling to work out what is going on

If I recall correctly, I believe it is visible now and points users without the reverse interlinear to where they can purchase it.

Yeah, I think you are right.

Berechiah, in the panel menu (the three dots in the upper right corner of your New King James Version panel), you will find an Information option. Click that and scroll to the bottom where you will find the Support Info section. Paste what you see there. It should hopefully list LLS:1.0.30, RVI:NKJVNT, and RVI:NKJVOT.

Yes I looked and I see the same as you. I can get Propositional Outlines from the visual filters I just found out.

it would be nice to see I guess from the right click menu but its ok.
