I am looking for specific documents written by different people. Can anyone share the best way to know what books/documents you own and how to use them best?
I'm not quite sure what you are asking by "documents," but you can filter your library with the hamburger menu or by tagging your resources. Granted, tagging won't help you now but if you start it does in the future.

It's best to say specifically what you are trying to do as someone may be able to give specific advice.
Something that someone showed me was in the Search under "All" or under "Books" type in "author:name" (name being who you want to find) and I find the author I want. Try it.

Does it help to open your library, and filter according to a specific author?
Thank you all for the quick messages. All are good suggestions. I'm trying find different Pope encyclicals and letters that it says I have but when I search I find a ton of references but not the actual documents.
Hope that helps. Thanks again for all the suggestions.
First, it may be that some of them are not on your machine but just in the cloud. In some tools, this makes them "invisible".
Second, in your library
This should give you your documents and get you to the resources you are looking for.
Try typing "Vatican" in your library search.

Thank you both for quick replies. I will definitely be trying this.
