Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows in v. 36

I don't know if this is a new thing or even if it's an issue (I don't use this keystroke combination in Logos), but in v. 36 (I'm in Windows 11), the keyboard shortcut ALT+D toggles the dashboard. I originally suspected it was the renaming of the Homepage since ALT+H does not currently do anything for me. It appears the keyboard shortcuts have actually been updated to the new name of dashboard here: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016370932-Keyboard-Shortcuts

I also noticed, when watching the recent webinar about the new features, that pressing F1 brought up a context sensitive help page related to the active open panel in Logos.  I don't know if that is new. I am more of a point and click navigator.

The Help Center is new - 35 or 36. F1 used to open the Help Document.

I've tested many of the shortcuts described in this link and there are several that don't work. Is this list really up to date for the latest version 36.0? If it is, then there are errors/bugs. It would be good if the Faithlife team reviewed each shortcut to make sure they are working correctly.

Thank you for reporting this, I am reproducing this as well and getting a case written up for our team.

I would think it helpful if Ctrl + click on hyperlink would open the hyperlink in a new tab in windows.

That would be nice. But did you know you can drag and drop links?

To be honest, I never thought of doing that. And I like the suggestion. Thank you, MJ [:)]

I use these regularly with my stream deck, and recently, many of them have quit working.

I took a look at this yesterday. It seems that Alt+a broke sometime in 2018 or 2019. It looks like there was a bug related to it at the time. I don't have any more information than that right now.

We did make a change on the shortcuts for the dashboard and the command box, but we missed updating the support documentation. I apologize for the lack of communication there. Alt+c will now open the Command box and Alt+d will toggle the Dashboard. We are hoping these are a little easier to remember (c = command, d = dashboard), however we understand that there is a disruption when patterns change. I have notified our support team about the discrepancy on the documentation.

If there are other shortcuts that aren't working please let me know. Thanks.

I can't speak to all of them, but the help for windows shortcut keys needs to be reviewed/updated as follows.  Some of these are recent changes.

    From Help File:

    • Alt+A – Open/close Layouts - no longer working
    • Alt+D – Go to Command Box - now opens/closes the Dashboard/Home
    • Alt+G – Open/close Guides menu - opens but does not close
    • Alt+H – Open/close Home Page - no longer working
    • Alt+L – Open/close Library - opens but does not close
    • Alt+O – Open/close Documents menu - opens but does not close
    • Alt+P – Open/close Help menu - now opens Program Settings menu
    • Alt+S – Open Search panel
    • Alt+T – Open/close Tools menu - opens but does not close
    • Alt+Enter (in Passage List) - no longer working to clear the verse box and set focus

These are new shortcuts not listed in the help file:

    • Alt+C -- Open/Close Command Box
    • Alt+F -- Open Documents/Files menu, redundant with Alt+O?
    • Alt+K -- Open Factbook

Will you update the documentation so that we have a guide to the new shortcuts? Or current shortcuts?

This is a keyboard and command box shortcut cheat sheet I created recently.  Hopefully others will find it helpful.
