Oh, very good. This will be helpful in studying Greek vocabulary words. I can study them in context of scripture (complete sentences). Much better than flash cards.
And, since I just got to nouns of the third declension last night, your example is timely.
Excellent! This may be enough for me to stop relying on the Windows version.
Mac Developers,
I thank you. This is a major step forward in the UI. And if I guessed right with David's hint and we are also having Clause Visualising then that is even better.
Every blessing
Alan

Interlinears, Awesome, I've been waiting for them to appear. They are very helpful when studying the original languages.
Interlinears. GREAT!
which is better? A mac with logos alpha or pc with Logos windows version? I need a new laptop and just trying to decide if I should go with mac or stick with PC? can you tell me what is missing from mac version (vs pc). Are all library resources available? I am looking at the platinum edition.. am i able to view / search all the resources? thanks!
Welcome to the L4 Mac forum!
I use a PC laptop for work and have a MacBook at home. I'd recommend the MacBook every time. They're much better products running a much better OS. However, Logos 4 for Mac is still not yet complete. The main gaps are listed under point 5 in the FAQ (see the link in my signature, below). Short term you'll be able to access the majority of your resources; longer term Logos are promising feature parity.

This is going to feel a very long ten days ...
With Fusion or Parallels you can have both. Either of these applications will allow you to run Windows on your Mac. Then, you can use L4 Windows when you need something that has not yet been implemented in the Mac version. If you choose Parallels, see Optimal Settings for Running Parallels on Mac for L4 . See especially the second post in this thread by John Fidel.
Logos are promising feature parity.
In short, feature parity between L4win and L4mac is not just a promise, it is a reality that will be experienced when the Mac developers finish the interface design. [Y]
Be encouraged friends! [H]

It depends on your needs. In the long run, go with a Mac since the Mac version will have feature parity. In the short term, the PC version is still quite a ways ahead of the Mac version. Fortunately, a compromise is possible - for extra money. I run VMWare Fusion and use the PC version of Logos on my Mac.
Will the Interlinear pane work as well, or just the older version of interlinear that we had in previous versions of Logos? I've looked at the videos on the PC side and they look really good.
Interlinear pane work as well
Not in Alpha 21, but yes, it will be implemented.
I have used both platforms extensively for years and say hands down if you can afford it Mac gives a better experience. I know this is personal opinion, but that's what you are asking for! [:)]
I currently run Logos 4 Windows on Fusion and it works remarkably well. The Mac version is coming along nicely, but there are still things you can't do on the Mac version and so I don't anticipate using L4 Mac for my studies until it hits beta stage.
Get a Mac. No question about it. I have never met anyone who has regretted their switch from PC to Mac.
Looking great guys! Thanks for all the hard work! [;)]
So is the John 1:1 and follow a tongue in cheek reference to the fact that L4mac is becoming more tangible? *cough***BETA***cough* Conspiracy Theory?!? [H]

Have you seen what happens to people who go publicly voice their regret? It isn't pretty...

That's funny. The use of John 1:1 had no significance.
Here's some work in progress for A21
Looking AWESOME !!
Starting to really look like something! Can't wait!
Haha.
Being able to view the pens that nice. That will be nice.
Will the ability to update our layouts be back soon? We lost the ability with A20 and it has made study difficult. For some reason, the program won't also save my current layout as an option, meaning I cannot save the the changes even as a new layout. I was stopping work at noon, but had opened Logos at 8:30 in the morning and that was where the snapshot was, not the current time. I wasn't able re-save or update my layout to reflect the changes. I appreciate the work you guys are doing, and I am sure it take a lot of work! Thanks!!!!!
Blessings

Hi Philana
If you click on the last snapshot edit pencil to get an empty title line. Then click on the edit pencil again the snapshot updates to now.
Then you can set about renaming your layout.
Hardly intuitive - but if the Bible was simple we wouldn't need logos.

Great! This is one of the features that has been at the top of my wish list. Can't wait!
This is looking good team! As always, I can't wait for the next alpha.
However, I certainly hope that no one will use the Strikethrough option on any of their Bibles... [:O]

Good point, that would not be a good idea!
Two Questions:
1. Since Monday is Memorial Day in the U.S. will the A21 be released on Monday still or a different day?
2. Being able to see our highlighters in the pane will be great, will we be able to create our own custom highlighters in A21 or is that for a future alpha?
Thanks,
In Christ,
Philana Crouch
We will most likely put it out on Tuesday. I know I won't be in the office to release it…
I'm going to guess future Alpha, unless Roy is really, really fast (he just started on that area this afternoon).
Mac Version is looking nice....! I wonder if they could give us the much nicer GUI with the File-Edit-Go-Tools, etc. toolbar in the PC Version....

Thanks, just wanted to have an idea, for when to download the Alpha (because it has to index). Thanks also for the info on the highlighters, it will be nice when they come in.
