How can I make a backup of Notes etc?
I'm hoping someone from Logos or one of the MVPs might speak to this. (Or anyone else that knows and has explored this matter.)
I want to be able to take a backup of my Notes from time to time, in case of machine failure, Application bug, Logos server error, or user error (me).
At present, Logos4 does not have a backup - just a 2nd copy in a different place.
If I break my first copy - the 2nd copy is broken too, 30 seconds later.
Can I just copy the Notes.database file(s) and then if needed, restore them again if required?
If I delete a Note by mistake now, can I just replace an old notes database file back again?
(Same really for prayers, Collection rules and all kinds of things, but I assume the answer for Notes will apply to the rest in a like manner.)
How do I stop Logos Servers overwriteing my restored file. How can I stop it repeating the "delete" back to my PC?
Are the rules about timestamping between multiple PCs and the Logos servers documented somewhere us users can see? That is, which one overrwrites or deletes which one? How can I get control to restore whichever direction I need/want?
(I would rather a proper export/backup function, but until thats added in some later version, how can I copy or transfer the raw database files to get the backups I want?)

Jim, this was discussed at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/16769.aspx & nothing different has since come up ie. backup & restore the Logos4\Documents folder to retain the integrity of the databases. Unless Logos volunteer some information you will have to experiment with a backup.

Thanks Dave.
I was hoping things had moved along a little more. Seems the application treats the files as private and wants to own their contents.
I can't believe we have an application with no backup system.
Logos: Please add user-content backups to the application.

That will address a number of the concerns I have expressed here and in other forum threads. With that change, many of my concerns about where my data is and if there is a backup should be greatly relaxed.
Again, thanks!
