Filling the gap with a alternate commentary

For my multiple-book display, I have along with the ESV the NAC. However, I'm missing one or two OT NAC's.

Is there a way to have another commentary jump in where the NAC is not available for a bible book without going to my library and selecting the replacement commentary?

You can change the series name on the specific books from the other commentaries for which you are missing the NAC volumes to whatever you have the NAC series named.

Hey Chris, not quite sure what you mean. If I have the NAC 'prioritized' as my go-to commentary, are you saying I should re-prioritize another set for those bible books the NAC doesn't cover?

Chris will have more info, but you can change a commentary's series name to 'glue in' missing volumes. But then, they're no longer in their original series.

What I do, is just add your second preferred comnentary series to your Multi-Book menu. Sort of like, the 'B' team.  Or in the US anyway, alternate jurors!

Basically you are going to create a custom series with the NAC books you do have and the non-NAC commentaries for the books you are missing.  In Library, select all the commentaries you want in this custom series.  In the information window then give them all a custom series name such as "NAC + OTHERS".  See screenshot below as an imperfect example.

By the way if at any point later you want to change the series back to the original series name, select all the commentaries in your new custom series and then click Clear user series.  It will set it back to their out-of-the-box default series.

Ok, that makes sense. Got it. Not that hard to figure out when one knows how to do it.

Thanks to the both of you 👍
