2 Suggestions to improve Bible Study Builder

  1.  Because we can't control the order of the books from which the questions come, please DO NOT expand the first entry. It usually is one I have little interest in and expanded, it makes the ones I am interested in not visible to me.
  2. Because we don't have templates available, please create a section for personal questions which I can store and select from. My questions would be of this sort:
  • What is the relationship of this reading to the other readings in the lectionary for the day?
  • Where does this passage fall in the timeline of the economy of salvation?
  • What senses does this passage have in the quadriga scheme... what is the literal meaning? What am I to believe? What am I to do? What am I to hope for?
  • Do you see any interesting patterns in the text e.g. parallelism, chiasm, type-antitype . . .
  • Are there any unfamiliar words, persons, or places in the text?
  • Does this passage figure in Western arts?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
