Smart search in the desktop app?

Yesterday I started to subscribe to Logos Premium Early Access and the Smart Search is available on the webb app, but not in the desktop app. How/when do I also find it there?
Do I need to install a Logos 10 update?
I have found a related question in the forum, but the link to that conversation doesn't work.
Best, Lasse

Yes, I know that the Smart Search is supposed to be there – and it is in the web app, but not in the desktop app.

If you select "Search" and then click on the "Books" tab, do you get "Smart" appearing in the top right-hand corner of the panel?

No, it only looks like this:
It wouldn't surprise me if it's a matter of your desktop app not updating, since you have access via the web app. Do you have the desktop app settings set up such that Logos connects to the Internet and automatically downloads updates?

Sure could. If you've already tried waiting it out, it might be necessary to call tech support.

I would suggest you restart Logos.

Solid advice. I remember there was one time when I reinstalled Logos that I had to manually restart Logos about 10 times as it cumbersomely worked its way through the various updates. I don't know what caused that behavior, but that might work for you as well. Try giving it a couple minutes to download the update, manually restart, rinse, repeat.

If restart doesn't work, install from here:

Thanks for the good advices, brothers!
I have already restarted Logos twice with no result. I am away over the weekend, but I will see if restarting several times will help when I get back on Sunday evening. 😊

An update on my problem:
I discovered that my Logos desktop software hadn't been updated for a while – even though, according to the settings, it was supposed to update automatically. It didn't even work to update manually, for some unknown reason...
It was stuck on version 22.0.23 with "only" all Logos features.
Anyway, I downloaded the latest version, 36.1.6 from Logos.com and replaced the previous version, and now I have the Logos Premium feature set with Smart Search a more. :-)
It was worth waiting for the whole library to download again, but there is one thing I still wonder:
The version 22 app was 1,47 GB, but version 36 is only 740 MB. How come?0 -

Did you select 'Everything' when you did the new install?

I don't remember, but I assume so – I want all features and resources to be in the app.
However, when I check the library, there are 163 books with temporary license that it seems I have to download manually. Can that be related?
(A little too many MB for those books though...)0 -

Thanks Mike – yes, when I check there I have 177 books not downloaded to this device.
But I guess those books are not included in the app size?
Anyway, the Logos app seems to work as it should, which I am happy for.
Is perhaps the new version of Logos, with subscription and the Premium feature set so much smaller in size than the previous version 22 (740 MB vs 1,47 GB)?? Seems strange though...0 -

I did a new/fresh install of Logos, and I am using that one instead of the previous one – see the screen print below. ("Logos 2" is ver. 22, "Logos" is the new ver. 36). Then I don't understand how the 740 MB is (only?) related to updates between the versions? The two apps shouldn't be connected in some way, so I can just as well delete the "Logos 2" app?
I have now also (fully) installed Logos on another computer (all resources is on the computer), and there the app is 1,44 GB.0 -
Now I know the answer – why the Logos version 36 app was about twice as large as the Logos ver 22 app:
When I opened the two respective packages/apps, I see under Contents/Frameworks/FaithlifeDesktop.framework/Versions that the version 22 app also contains version 10 with approximately the same size!
So – problems (confusion!) solved. Thanks again, guys, for your willingness to help!
