Trying to understand something in the behaviour of the context menu

If I select a portion of text in a verse

and right-click it, the context menu shows information about the first word selected as well as other details relating to the verse

If I select the text of entire verse

and right-click, the context menu only shows information about the verse as a whole

Is this intended behaviour - or is something strange happening here?

It depends on how and where you click.... When multiple words are selected from the start of the verse "in" is the only word to get a morphology, but it is not consistent

I can't reproduce the behavior. Typically, the context menu remembers what you previously select on the left hand side, and will reselect it on subsequent occassions.

That's strange as I can reproduce it fairly consistently!

I wonder if this is affected by the Text Selection option in Program Settings. Mine is set to Word

I can recreate this, and as Dave suggested, it is the expected behavior. For any of the data that is attached to words, the first word in the selection is used to provide that data. When you select the entire verse (including the pericope), the first word is non-Bible text, and there is no useful word-based information found to display.

Thanks For looking into this for me Graham. I have a question about your Screen Shot. Is that the web app or the desktop app and if it's the desktop app will it be given to early subscriber users or is it only available when you use the logos on the web as opposed to the downloaded version? That layout is much better and I believe it links the notes to whatever you're reading If I'm not mistaken. The fact that the note is linked to whatever resource you're currently reading makes a big difference. The whole toolbar really , much simpler and easy to navigate. Anyway I was only asking the question because your screenshot looks like the one that is on the web app and not currently the desktop app(At least for me).

I also want to thank everybody who is associated with Beta testing. It's appreciated.

My screenshots were from the desktop - this new toolbar interface is available on desktop to people with a subscription

The functionality should be the same irrespective of which toolbar you are using - unless I am missing your point.

I guess my point is it just seems more simplified to me; However I understand what you're saying.

It appears I do not have it on the desktop although I do have it on the web app. The second picture is the desktop.

The first image is the web app.

I'm currently a Logos Max subscriber.
