Two further issues with the Inline Search in 37.0 beta 3

After running an Inline Search:

if i clear the search term (grace in the example above) the search still shows as active

This isn't the case if I clear the search term using the x to the left of the keyboard selector

And If I enter a morph search using the morph picker, the search term is not updated to show my selection

I'm only running the beta in both Logos and Verbum, so I can't test whether the behavior is different in the stable version.

What I have noticed is that instead of merely deleting, you have to click on the X in the search box to delete it.

And if you type in another search it will delete the previous one and start a new search even if you haven't cleared it by clicking X.

This is the expected behavior. It worked this way with the old inline search as well. You can also hit enter with an empty search (running the search with no terms) to clear the results.

We've got an open case for this issue, and I've added a link to this thread in the case so we can post an update when it it fixed.

This is the expected behavior. It worked this way with the old inline search as well. You can also hit enter with an empty search (running the search with no terms) to clear the results.

This is helpful - particularly the hint about running an empty search.

I will admit I find it a bit strange it working like this - particularly when clearing the search string of a "regular search" clears all the results.

We do have some plans for some changes that should help improve this awkwardness.
