Suggestion: Toggle for resource toolbar item

I would like to be able to click on an item in the resource Toolbar that has a "Show" toggle and have it toggle to the other state. For example, if I click on Reformat and Reformat Text is on, I would like it to toggle off. The fact that the item turns blue when it is on, leads me to expect clicking it will turn it off.

There is already a drop down button that I can use to see the list of options.

This toggle feature would save an extra click when I want to quickly turn on or off Visual Filters, Markers, etc.

This feature is available for menu items that don't have a drop down button, such as Locator Bar and Translate. For consistency, I would like to see this behavior in all items on the resource Toolbar that can be toggled on or off.

The Toggle Button is designed to retain its state so that we can see whether it is ON or OFF, and then we can toggle it ON and tick the single option in non-bible books (below). If it is ON we only have to tick that single option to be toggled OFF (or ON) [:P]

Don't confuse the Toggle Button with actually doing anything!

Being dynamic, users need the Find box to locate the single entry! But Emphasize does not need a Find box for its multiple options (probably because we don't know what they are in the first place).

The old resource Toolbar allowed you to click on the Interlinear button or Factbook to toggle it on or off. I do this a fair amount. The menu let you choose what was displayed and the button let you toggle the display on and off. I like that behavior and wish that the new more complex resource toolbar would allow clicking on the item name to toggle it on or off. I understand that you can "flip the switch", but that is an additional step.

Logos seems to be anti-Toggle these days. I had a similar complaint about the Add Versions button in Search. I just want to set my comparison version and then turn it on and off.

I requested Toggle and was told that this was somehow easier for the new people. Logos has convinced themselves that adding additional, unnecessary clicks is actually easier for the new people.

Logos actually tests and compares results - whether or not a function was found, time taken to find it, etc. etc. And I suspect they also read the research coming out on user interfaces ... a subfield within computer/information science.

I'm glad my Toyota didn't get researched. Toggle is the game plan. Easy-peasy. New user too! My iWatch also. In fact, I'm thinking, Windows 3 for latest research.

If we got this functionality back I would be tickled pink. If we were additionally given a quick access tab in the new toolbar I would be like a dog with two tails.

And it is these types of responses that make me wonder how they don't understand when I speak to them about forgetting about their long time users in favor of the "potential" new ones..... We have been here, supported the company and should NOT have to relearn the software and be subject to less efficient workflow for the sake of the potential new users.... Keeping the toolbars as an option is the way to go - but they seem to have no desire, other than forcing the Dynamic Toolbar onto everyone.... They seem to find no problem or care in the fact that some have already stated the Dynamic Toolbar is enough to prevent them from subscribing or as some have posted - enough of a bother they are going to cancel subscribing....

It would be nice to have some form of updated response from Logos in relation to the toolbar issue(s) - preferably that they have reconsidered and will keep it as an option like Microsoft (since that company has been used as an example in favor of the Subscription Model (while ignoring the continued ownership option))

I would have thought, the reasoning would be a common menuing across all the platforms ... easier for newbies. Frankly, FL should buy an iphone and review the design. Cross-device menuing (settings), and panel toggles for quick access.

I agree with you the abiity to toggle on and off the interlinear was a well worn function on my Logos; Praying for its return
