The Holy Bible :King James Version not in desktop app or any way to add it

I made highlights in this version (The Holy Bible :King James Version) on my ipad and now I want to extract them using the desktop app but this bible version isn't appearing in my desktop app, which is weird. Why isn't this data, the highlights, being automatically updated and synced in the desktop app from my tablet? That's how I figured things would work, there is synching happening across platforms, otherwise what is the point of highlighting if I can't extract them later, at least this is how I intend to work.

Hopefully I'm missing something obvious, but, alas, this resource isn't showing up at all in the desktop app, not even the shop so I can pay and add it. Even if I pay and add it, will my highlights transfer over?

Can someone please give me some advice on getting this resource to show up and getting access to my highlights? Alternaitvely, if there is another way to extract the highlights in the tablet android app or any other means, please let me know.

Cheers

KJV1900 is oddly showing up and it seems it is capturing some of my highlights, but not all of them.

I'm using a system and the right parts are highlighted but when comparing the laptop and the desktop version, the desktop drops like over half the highlights, though keeping the same styles for the ones it keeps.

I'm dissapointed in logos, things are NOT intuitive and after this I feel I need to find a simpler more intuitive app to use.

I have to manually re highlight the entire New Testament if I want to continue with my planned meditation sessions and study in a new system as I'm sure google docs has a different setup. This is tedious and confusing to say the least, though I'm happy to do it to expand my studies. I wish for this app to improve.

The mobile version of Logos get quite a number of free books and resources which you don't own but are available to you on mobile. This packet of free books is probably different between apps and platforms, but it is not available on desktop (for most of the books, this is due to publisher contracts). You'll need to buy or rent those books you want to use on desktop. The KJV bible you mentioned is sold for $9.99 but you may get a better deal is you buy it in one of the bundles it is contained in (especially all those Starter Libraries) which you can see on the product page.

Actually it is (you will see those highlights and textual notes in the Notes Tool on desktop), but you can't access those if you don't own the resource.

    Hope this helps

It seems you own this, after all. Not sure why only some of your highlights show, maybe your iPad had connectivity issues. Definitely the system should fully synchronize the highlights

It could be that the highlights were made using different highlight palates and that they are not all checked to show up in the desktop app in the highlights filter. I think it is under the three little balls on the resource toolbar.

Thanks for your help, to be sure, the KJV1900 and "The Holy Bible: King James Version" are two different resources in the tablet app. I chose another KJV so I can start highlights afresh. Someone the desktop version is carrying over the new highlights into this version. I moved the previous highlights from KJV1900 all into a new folder so I can hide them so that version seems to have old highlights that I can hide while also carrying over highlights from a different resource, though icompletely. I can only think its a bug with the hidden highlights interfering with them. It's just to complicated where the issues are so I'm just going to re highlight everything and steer clear from this app in the future. Hopefully I'll have better luck in youversion or whatnot.

I just want to highlight and extract the highlights occasionaly. That's it. Any other apps for this?

I just checked and nothing seemed to cause the missing highlights to show up

Yes they are - on the desktop they are two different ressources, too.

You can choose whether you want to utilize this (in my opinion: very cool) feature on desktop, it is called 'corresponding highlights'.

The version I highlighted isn't showing up in the desktop app to buy. Do I have to buy it on their site instead and then it will show up in the desktop version?

I've given up trying to find it in the desktop version. It seems to be grouping various versions of king james into one. I'm clearing selected the right one but it's just opening kjv1900.I am able to open the right version in the online version of logos and all my highlights are there. This is quite frustrating, yet, I can't seem to export the highlights from the online version. Is there a way?

Is there a way to export an entire book with all highlights into pdf or something?

I'm just going to open the new testament king james version in google docs - in single column format and highlight everything again. Alas, these are two different highlighting schemes so I have to convert the unique highlight formats of logos into google docs - using only color highlights and color texts, so I have to keep this formula in mind for thousands of highlights. It's bound to be confusing and tedious.

Timothy, I feel like there must be a better way. I can't think of a way to test it, since I own the Bible you are talking about and it opens fine on desktop for me.

In the desktop version of Logos, if you go to Notes, can you filter by book and see that translation?
