Bible Study Builder... more to come?
Long shot I know but curious if there are plans to build this out as time moves forward. I can think of many other resources in my library that have questions that could be added to this dataset. The first one being the Life Connections Study Bible but there are many more. One that is not in Logos but would pretty much do the job for everyone is Thomas Mack's Bible Discussion Guide... You cannot go wrong with that and I would suggest Logos pursuing that at some point.

My expectation is that plans are in place to significantly expand the Bible Study Builder, as it targets one of the three core audiences: small group leaders. I would expect Bible Study Builder to eventually be for small group leaders what Sermon Builder is for pastors.

The block approach to text sections would need to be more flexible including spacing from each other. Text formatting as per Notes tool needs to included, hyperlinking especially. Else I stay with Clippings.

I'm looking forward to more from this feature. I am using it in my bible study already.

I can't speak to books we don't carry but please feel free to suggest titles we do carry.
Right now there are about 1000 resources included in dataset. Inclusion depends on two criteria being true:- The question belongs to an open Bible milestone reference.
- The question includes an input box to answer the question.
Both of those are fairly straight forward resource updates to make. (Life Connections Study Bible would be a great candidate.) And in many cases they're already being worked on.

Thank you Kyle. I'll have to dig into my tags later and see what I can suggest. I didn't realize Logos already had a 1000 resources so that is great. 2 Kings 1 didn't result in a lot of resources so I was curious. I had a Bible Study Builder dataset in German download yesterday... I don't speak German though. I was just giving it a go on the Web App.
Also there is a Junior/Student Lessonmaker resource that categorizes by topic. Does the Builder pull off that too?

One more question! Sorry...
I assume you have to have the resource for the questions to pull from it? Or does the builder pull questions from resources you don't own as well?

We have given thought to how we may be able to highlight relevant unlicensed content to users in Bible Study Builder, but we have not built any of that functionality yet.
At this time, it only shows resources for which you have licenses.

Thank you Alan! Maybe a Bible study booster package can be created in the future to help boost this?

That‘s a good idea.
I would also like to see an improvement in the way AI questions are generated as in the Sermon builder where you can refine the question type and the audience level.

I have been recommending Logos do the Thomas Mack books for years. I would love to have them in Logos.

I would like to see the functionality similar to the Sermon Builder—the ability to print questions only.

Hi James
I think you can do this already.
Click on the three dots in the top right of the Bible Study Builder, then choose Print/Export. You should see, in the left column of the Print/Export panel, that you can choose to check “Show notes.” If you don’t check “Show notes” then you only print or export the questions.

I really like this tool. However, I really need it to show up in my Sermon Manager so I can get a visual of what I have done and where I am going. The radial calendar is really where I do my sermon and lesson planning. It is also where I go back to find old lessons and sermons.
Is there a plan for this to happen? If not, I may just continue using the Sermon Builder for my lessons as I have been doing.

Is this your way of saying that Bible Study Builder does not work? Mine does not. Here is a screenshot...

Because of copyright concerns, I refuse to use it until it credits the sources the questions are stolen (oops I mean copied) from.

If you are referring to the partial questions this has been fixed as per https://community.logos.com/forums/p/226139/1321207.aspx#1321207 and we should expect to see this working properly sometime today.

Thanks. I figured this out when I went and played around with it.[:D]

I agree with Dave on this. The tool looks to have some promises but I think it needs a bit more "imagination" put into it.

In Bible Study Builder, I cannot change the top block / name of the study. I can make all of the other blocks headings or normal but not the top block. Any chance a future update would allow that to be modifiable? If I have Heading 1 as the 2nd block it overtakes the title block in appearance.

I wish Morris Proctor had lived to see this. He would have been really happy to see it.
I would say look back on LESSONmaker and the old Logos Lesson Builder. I used LESSONmaker and enjoyed it, and Morris was a big fan of the old Logos Lesson Builder. Something that offers a combo of those features plus new stuff would be great.

It does not respond to any of the (inadequate) text formatting options and needs to.

Also in the web app, and it could just be my browser, but I can move a block once. After moving a block, it will not allow me to move anything again.

Another issue with mobile & app... When I return to add more questions, it always adds them at the top. I then have to drag them to where I want them each time. New questions should either give you an option where to place or at the end IMO.

Do you have more information about your issue?
I'm unable to reproduce this. I tested in Chrome on Windows 10.

To be honest, I think it is my browser. I'll try to reproduce at home as well.
I did figure out that I can drag questions into place so I'll go that route. I'm using Chrome 129.

A cache clear seemed to fix it... My apologies for bugging you Alan!
I still think clicking the right arrow should add new questions at the bottom (same for adding new blocks) but I'll leave that up to you guys!

Kyle,
A series that has partially been released, and is in pre-pub for full release that ought to be included in the Bible Study Builder search is the Teaching Bible series of Preaching and Bible Study. These resources have some very good questions for Bible study.
