Welcome to the forums. Not quite - they return to the free version. Books you buy while on a subscription remain yours along with the free version to use them.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

So that makes Logos subscription model only. For those who bought Logos 10, there are all set but the ones who haven't have no other option but subscription.

To get access to the features above that provided in the free software engine, that is correct.

To be fair, they should make a way for the new comers to be able to purchase Logos software's full feature set license without AI and cloud.

You still have a tiny window, Bobby, although you may not like it. Verbum, the Catholic equivalent to Logos, is still on sale because their subscription is not ready yet. If you buy one of those feature sets, you should be eligible for the legacy fallback license. The differences in the features are almost non-existent. Starter should be about $250 for you, will substantially expand your software, and if you then choose to subscribe, you will get a partial discount and after 2 years permanent ownership of offline features.
