You can go to Logos Desktop, click on the ? in the toolbar which opens help and search for Bible Study Document and there are instructions on how to use the Bible Study builder
You can search for Bible Study Builder but it only has the following text then a link to the builder document:
Research and prepare a small group Bible study including discussion questions and related topics.
Create a Bible Study document like any other Logos document, from the Docs or Tools menu. To learn more about preparing a small group Bible study in Logos.

Release notes are in the first chat from Savanna, or when you update there’s a link also. I’m jumping with excitement, as the update is ready for tomorrow’s big day. When you click on upgrade subscription it takes you to the announcement page. I’m figuring tomorrow I can sign up for the subscription.

Oh My Heavens!! I just spent less than an hour playing around with the new "Bible Study Builder" feature... and IT IS A GAME CHANGER FOR ME!!! I have been leading an adult Bible study class for years and our approach is centered around discussion questions. I (and my co-teachers) come up with our own questions and email them to the class on Tuesday of each week. Utilizing the "Bible Study Questions" resource this new feature generated over 100 questions for John 4 from that one resource alone. Some are general self-reflective or ice-breaker type questions but most relate to a specific verse or set of verses.
This alone is worth the price of Logos Pro for me!
Thank you Logos!!

Wait, what? The non-subscriber update includes the dynamic toolbar? Accident, or change of plans? Well, if you have it anyways now that's one less reason for you not to subscribe [:P]. Sorry, not funny, I know.

Can we PLEASE & PLEASE integrate Mark Barne's Collections into standard default in Logos?
If you want to make it better, please add MORE collections & polish them.
Pretty please..This would help gazilions of people.

Of course, due to the time and being Sunday - no one to contact at Logos.... If I wanted to waste my time with this toolbar, I would have subscribed..... We were told it was only for Subscribers - why is my install ruined with this??? All I want to do is finish up some work and now late at night I have to play find the tools, rather than just using my paid for software that I had setup the way I find most efficient!!!
If this was a decision that the toolbar is now being forced on all users - that does not build trust in what Logos says to its customers....
If it is an error - AGAIN - how can I trust them not screwing up my setup with another error.... This really should not be this difficult! And YES, I am frustrated! I just want to be able to finish my preparation....

Coming from you - I will tolerate it..... BUT, while I get your tongue in cheek point - this is enough to give up on this mess for good.... This definitely does NOT make me want to spend another dollar or give them a chance to impress me with the final outcome of the first LFL.... I did NOT want this nonsense and it was clearly voiced by Logos that this Toolbar was for Subscribers only!!!

Thank you, Frank. I appreciate your willingness to acknowledge my good intentions, even though my comment likely didn't sit well with you. I know this is a serious issue for you and apologize for making light of it. In all seriousness, I hope you are able to find a satisfactory resolution to this problem.

Aaron - I love having a little fun back and forth and coming from you - who I know has good/fun joking intentions allows me to accept it as such, though I am frustrated beyond belief with this failure - even the Release Notes clearly state the Dynamic Toolbar under Subscribers.... If it were someone just being ignorant about it - I'd have a different response LOL

It appears that you have a temporary license as a part of the Logos Pro (early access) subscription beta features group that we use to give users temporary access to subscription features that are being tested in the beta process. I don't know the exact timing when the license will leave the group, but I expect it will happen in the next day or two.

Thankfully, I was able to just pull up the resource I wanted to use on another app and I have a paper copy of the other that I needed - so if what I wanted to get done is going to take a little longer - it will be because I'm going a little "old school", rather than be slowed down searching toolbars and the added frustration that is tied to it.

THANK YOU Nick!!! I left the group and it looks to have fixed it!
Is there a reason that the Stable version kept the Beta license that can be fixed to prevent future issues like that?

I have one more question about the Bible Study Tool. I have a ton of Bible Study Questions anchored to verses in my Notes, but it doesn't appear that Notes are included in the generated questions. Can it include questions from Notes as well as a future upgrade? Also, I tagged all my resources that had Bible Study Questions and created a collection based on that tag. Will this query all the books in our library or just certain resources? Just curious.
Thanks,

Never mind - changed my mind and too late to delete the comment.... Not in the mood to hear anything stupid in response to what I posted - Not what I responded to Nick - but what was the content of this post.

In this thread https://community.logos.com/forums/p/225993/1319862.aspx#1319862 Kyle from Logos says:
Kyle G. Anderson said:I can't speak to books we don't carry but please feel free to suggest titles we do carry.
Right now there are about 1000 resources included in dataset. Inclusion depends on two criteria being true:- The question belongs to an open Bible milestone reference.
- The question includes an input box to answer the question.
Both of those are fairly straight forward resource updates to make. (Life Connections Study Bible would be a great candidate.) And in many cases they're already being worked on.
In the same thread Alan from Logos says:
Alan Palmer (Logos) said:Mattillo said:One more question! Sorry...
I assume you have to have the resource for the questions to pull from it? Or does the builder pull questions from resources you don't own as well?
We have given thought to how we may be able to highlight relevant unlicensed content to users in Bible Study Builder, but we have not built any of that functionality yet.
At this time, it only shows resources for which you have licenses.
So there is a dataset the builder draws from which has questions from resources in the Logos library. You could suggest resources to Logos that may not already be in the dataset.

We typically give beta testers a few days' grace so they don't suddenly lose access to a feature they might have become reliant on – particularly in this case, when it's not yet possible to pay for a license to the feature.

Thank you Mark! While I understand that is meant to be a pleasant and courteous experience from the view of the company - because this specific feature is annoying to many based on the feedback thread - it would have been nice to have the option to turn it off.
Has Logos reconsidered forcing the Dynamic Toolbar on Subscribers? The option that was present in your video presentation would be a welcome benefit to users who both find the Dynamic Toolbar useful and the Classic more efficient. (Both are being maintained for the separation of Subscriber/Non-Subscriber)
Another question that I never saw a response to, likely due to all the work being concentrated on getting ready for release - will the Android Sermon Manager be added to the licenses of L10 FFS owners without Subscription? I ask because it seemed to be presented as when it was possible we (Android Users with the Features) would get the function... I have no use for iOS apps, so even if the license was presented as a choice between the two - that would be a great show of care for the long time customers.... It would also allow me to give the Sermon Builder/Manager Logos has created a true chance to be my choice of creation - without Android compatibility, it is more efficient and cross device for me to continue not using it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you do anything in your notes to distinguish between Bible Study questions are other types of notes?
cshover8669 said:Will this query all the books in our library or just certain resources?
This tool will look at all books in your library that have both of the following:
- Bible milestones (that is, you can navigate using Bible references)
- Question boxes that can be filled in

Thanks,
- Your Notes will not be used
- It uses books with Answer boxes, where
- the Q's are within chapter milestones that correspond to your bible reference, or
- the Q's have corresponding references
Which means, for Rev 3:10-11
- Q's come from a relevant Chapter heading (Rev 2-3) but
- Q's without a reference are included, whilst
- Q's with a non-corresponding reference are omitted
You have to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Frank, my goal is to be as transparent as possible and I don't want your questions to go unanswered. However, I am hesitant because I'm unlikely in a position to make you happy right now.
Frank Sauer said:Has Logos reconsidered forcing the Dynamic Toolbar on Subscribers?
Nothing new in that regard. Dynamic Toolbar is currently enabled/disabled based on the feature license which is present in the subscription. There aren't any definite plans to change that. If that changes, we will let you know.
Frank Sauer said:will the Android Sermon Manager be added to the licenses of L10 FFS owners without Subscription?
At this time, the only way to access the new features is to subscribe. In general, new functionality will only be available to subscribers. Nothing is being taken away from users' existing licenses.
Bringing the sermon tools to Android required sizeable development effort. In fact, the Sermon Builder editor was rebuilt and we hope the new editor will allow us to bring even more improvements to Sermon Builder in the future. We do plan to bring that same editor to all platforms and users with existing licenses will get that upgrade for free.

Alan,
I appreciate the transparency. As you alluded to, it is much better than having the questions ignored or never receiving requested communication...
I really do hope that at least the Toolbar decision is reconsidered and soon - I'd like to continue as a customer, but do like find value in the toolbar at all. In regards to the Android Sermon features, it would be nice to have given the FFS users a choice between it and iOS - but I understand the decision to use it as a path of trying to get some who may not otherwise subscribe to subscribe - I've not bothered with the Sermon Builder due to the Android feature disparity, so it's really no loss for me to stick with what I've been doing anyways. I honestly gave up on Logos for being anything other than Sermon Prep once the old addin was taken away and its early replacements forced users to change their Sermon templates for use....
If my last purchase winds up being the last ride with Logos, it'll be disappointing, but it was good while it lasted.
Thanks again!
