BUG REPORT: Tagging is broken again...
A number of the things that used to seriously annoy me about tagging that have been fixed for quite a while are back, which is seriously annoying. I am trying to tag my new books, and I sort on items with no tag. I get one tag in and am working on the second, and the book disappears and is no longer selected. That hasn't happened in a long time.
Also, the library moves every time a tag is updated. I have it lined up on the screen, and the first tag is recognized. The library moves to the first book, and I have to scroll all the way back down to the next one I want again.
Please, please, please fix it soon.
Thanks for all you do

Not a solution, but you could limit that movement by filtering Library on Last Updated or Added (from the Filter sidebar).

Honestly, Dave, you're so smart. Where were you yesterday when I needed you?0 -

I found it easier that once I had filtered on items with no tag, I then tagged them all as a group with the tag "no tag." then I could add tags to each resource individually without them disappearing. When I am done I delete the "not tag" tag and, then the resource disappears.

It helps the disappearing, but the library still moves back to the first book after each tag entry and then I have to scroll back down to where I was working. Frustrating....

That's an idea...Thanks

I hate it too, but you realize why it happens? When your tag changes the position of the record in the list, it is very difficult to determine what the new position of "where I was" is.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I just tested. After I have everything tagged with "NoTag" I then use the library filter to show me only all the "NoTag" items and I scrolled down to the middle of the list and clisked on one. I added two tags to it and then I deleted the "NoTag" and the screen flashed as it updates the tag but it did not jump back to the top. It stayed where it was. I took careful note of the resources that were above and below the one I removed so I could be sure if it had move.

After adopting your "notag" strategy, I had a lot less jumping around. Thanks for the idea. It sped things up considerably.

I've still got more than 200 in my NoTag list. I now tag everything I get so my backlog doesn't increase. Some resources are easy to tag, others not so much.
