Which class of user already has the Dynamic toolbar on desktop?
I'm at a workshop where we are teaching Logos.
All of our users are using 37.0.667 (which is currently the same version for stable and beta) and we're trying to train them to use Logos.
- Some (like me) have the Dynamic Toolbar and no experimental options to switch between the toolbars.
- Some have the Dynamic toolbar and the Experimental option to toggle it.
- Some have the old toolbar and no option to toggle it.
The new toolbar is great, but it is very difficult to teach when the main mode of interacting with resources is different for each user. What are the qualifications (beta tester, subscription, package) to get the toolbar and access to the switcher?

If all the users are running 37.0.667 they should all have the Dynamic Toolbar.
As far as I'm aware, there is no option to toggle between the Dynamic Toolbar and the old toolbar. There is the option to hide the secondary toolbar:
Could all users check that they have the latest version (ie click on the Logos icon and type Update Now)?

the new toolbar is only available with a subscription and requires Logos 37

the new toolbar is on the web app without a subscription

This does not seem to be the case.
What is confusing is that I have a paid package but no subscription (not beta) and see the dynamic toolbar with no "Experimental options" to switch. Someone else with a subscription is seeing the Dynamic toolbar and experimental options. Most of our users are seeing the old menus.

So you're seeing users that have an option to pick which toolbar they use? We know it was possible because Mark Barnes had a video showing it - but it was not known to have been released into any public version.

Can you get a screen shot of the experimental option, there are many here who would like to see that?
Frank, did you not have the toolbar for a while after the launch, something to do with the group you had to be in for the beta testing. Is it possible that some of these people are in the same position?

Sorry - that is correct, I was thinking about the desktop app

Yes, our "publisher" account with a subscription has that option (perhaps it is left over from having RC3?). My personal account with a base package and no subscription is the one with the Dynamic toolbar but no "Experimental Features". Most of the users with no dynamic toolbar have no base packages or subscription.
I'm trying to add the screenshot (below), but it's not showing on the forum.

Yes, I had the Dynamic Toolbar after installing the Version 37 update. I had to leave the Beta Group to get rid of it. I never saw an option to choose

Are you using the paperclip, in the dialogue box where you type your text, to upload the screenshot?

If this is the case, Logos should just give the option to all of us - Mark, Phil, Bradley - if you're reading this thread - add this capability to my license and I'll subscribe for the 2 year LFL today, in hope that I will be impressed with the plan, though I do not necessarily like the path in general.

I am wondering if that it what is happening for some of these people

Possibly? But it sounds as though some of them have an "experimental" option between the toolbars - if I am understanding the posts correctly...

I prefer some evidence to speculate on

At the bottom of program settings, just before hidden resources. You probably won't have the option.

Experimental features are for testing and internal purposes. They may include side effects and are not supported. Please refrain from discussing them.

I have it, only got it after learning how to use the old toolbar. Also tab key is now broken too

So..... Is this an "experiment" that we will see available to users? I have the subscription waiting in my cart [;)]

I've learned to never say never, but I will say that it doesn't look likely at this time. I know that isn't what you want to hear.
