How to search for a “פ” within a sentence, e.g. in Hos 1:2 “בְּהוֹשֵׁ֑עַ פוַיֹּ֨אמֶר”?
Thanks in advance
You can do this easily in Logos.
1. Using the SESB, right click on the praragraph break symbol and select search this book:
2. Make sure that your search tab is set to Bible search and that you search your open bible, the SESB, will not show up in the lexham hebrew bible, and you should get 1178 hits:
Here is just the SESB showing the search results:
Hope this helps.
I know these searches. My search should be within a sentence like in Hos 1,2
Only those within a sentence
A sentence isn't a standard unit within Logos. However, a clause is a recognized unit. For sentences, we approximate either by adjusting the passage to be searched or by the use of proximity operators.
I have not been able to find a way to search for the paragraph break symbol in a sentence. The only way that I am aware of to find it is to filter through your searches. Maybe someone else know how to do this or maybe Logos will provide the search ability in a later update.
