Highlight Panel Missing

I've noticed that the highlight panel on the desktop version is missing. When I go to highlight a verse, it only shows me six versions with no way to access my other styles. I'm unable to find the highlighter panel, or to edit my personal highlights I've added. I've tried using the desktop app, as well as the web browser version. On my phone I can highlight passages, but I can't edit them if I want to add a new color or type.

HI Destiny - and welcome to the forums

I've noticed that the highlight panel on the desktop version is missing

I see the highlighting option on the desktop

I think the screenshot you have posted is from the web app. Can you post one showing what you see on desktop?

I think you are describing the selection menu when you highlight some text. If so, if you click the icon I have outlined below that should open the full highlighting tool

If you are seeing something else, please advise

    Graham

When I open the section you're referring to, it does give me more options on how I want to highlight, but does not allow me to edit my personal styles. I don't have the pencil looking icon

I've tried using the desktop app

So far, you have shown us screenshots from the web app and the iPad app. The ability to modify highlighting styles is only available in the desktop app (Mac or Windows).

Apparently I had some other version of Logos app for the computer. Not quite the desktop version, but it was an app I downloaded for the computer. The second set of pictures was on the computer app, which I guess is similar to the ipad/phone apps. So I downloaded the "real" version of the desktop app and everything looks good now. Thanks for the help, I don't think I ever would have realized I didn't have the real version.

Are you running on an Apple silicon Mac device?

If so, there was the ability to download the mobile app onto it and it sounds as though that might be what you had done.

i had heard that option had gone - but am not sure

I have a gateway laptop, and I downloaded the app from the Microsoft store. I didn't even realize it wasn't the real desktop version. I checked and it doesn't even pull up in the app store anymore, so I guess it was just a really old version

That is a really old version!

Glad you have it working properly now.

It takes a few new steps to get to the full Highlight tab.  It is under the "Notes" tab.  What I did is after opening the highlight tab I saved it to the menu bar on the left so I can get quick access to it.
