Migrate Logos to new PC
There's a lot of talk about new PCs. Given that mine is somewhat outdated (and \C: is full), I got myself a new one:Windows11; Intel.
How can I best migrate Logos / Verbum to the new one?

The simplest approach is to install the app on your new computer, log into the app with your standard Logos / Verbum credentials and allow it to download. You may need to do some work to get Personal Books added depending on whether or not you have previously uploaded them to the Logos cloud.

Method 2 provides a virtual clone of your old installation - no downloading, no indexing

That sounds good. In fact, on my old PC I have Logos (with about 40GB) on an external drive (against the official recommendation; that's one of the reasons for buying a new PC). Does the Index or any other relevant files live still on my internal C:\ drive?

No. They are all on the external drive in the Logos folder

I don't know Nichtnur; but whenever I get a new computer I download a fresh installation and then let it download all my resources. I think, perhaps erroneously, that a fresh installation and a fresh download means that no vagaries from the old machine are transferred to the new one.
It does mean that I cannot use Logos between going to bed and sometime before getting up but that has never seemed to be a problem that affected my workflow.

Regarding Method 2 I read:
"If you use this Method to create an additional installation beware that the two libraries will be kept in sync with v8+

I would have to delete Logos from \ to avoid the cited behaviour?Logos files on an external drive does not mean it is installed/active on your new computer, so you can keep the Logos folder (with Mehod 2 you just copy the relevant files to the installation on the C: drive).
