Would love this distracting little blue button to go away soon. It feels to me like a little piece of marketing inside of my book. I know it's supposed to be helpful, but to me it is distracting.

I agree. It also occupies space on the toolbar, causing "more" to appear prematurely.
I don't see it in Logos 37.0.667. Do you?
Yes.
Yes (using Windows desktop).
You are missing out. I have it on 37.0.667If I click the shiny bright New button, it takes me here:FEEDBACK WANTED: New Resource Toolbar on Desktop - Logos Forums
It's part of the new resource toolbar, i.e. it is visible under Logos 37 only to subscribers.

Depending on the width of your panel, you will see New without More. In my case More includes Tools and Share but New, though not visible, influences what goes into More.
It;s not marketing, it's a shortcut to provide feedback. I am sure I will go away soon enough. It is particularly relevant to at the moment to collect feedback from the wider group. It probably should say "feedback" rather than "New"

Contrary to most of this thread, I believe pointing out new features is helpful for one who has used LBS for decades (my old habits can be revised). One suggestion would be to have notifications like this on a 6-week cycle. If constant improvement is truly the goal (as it was back in Logos Now), it would be acceptable [to me] to notify a "new" feature until the next (6-week) release.
I needed the "NEW" button to help me find the read aloud feature this week in my daily Bible reading layout--moved from the "Kabob menu" to the "toolbar"
Welll... I have determined I am blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. lol. I have 37.0.667.... but I don't see "New" anywhere. Maybe I got the "good release"... lol [8-|]

it's a significant enough annoyance to justify mention.
I guess "significant enough" is a judgment made by individual users impacted by the resolution of their monitor. It is a much bigger percentage of the toolbar on my default monitor on my portable Microsoft Surface Pro
Than it is on my connected 27" UHD desktop monitor

Tbh, this doesn't concern me. I'm sure it'll go away before too long. But in general I do prefer the type of notification that the user has the option to remove.
I enjoy working/reading with multiple resource panels open
My sermon prep layout (multiple panels) is all but useless on my smaller monitor. But this reveals the "more" problem to the other extreme. I get "more" whether the NEW button is there or not.
Nice layout!
Thanks!!
I don't understand why this New button is still on the toolbar. I get it during a beta cycle, but is the intention to leave this here for a long period of time? We don't have little blue sticky note New buttons like this for other new features. It seems so bizarre to leave this here post-beta.
Every time I see this button it strikes me as a price tag stuck on the front of a book that I can't take off.

It is a reasonable way to direct and control feedback/training issues when the feature first hits the broader user base. Beta testers are not a representative cross-section.
New button is still on the toolbar.
I have absolutely no insider information, but I would be surprised if it disappeared in less than a month and would not be surprised if it stayed until the next release on the 6 week cycle.
I also like to have more real estate on my screen. Especially now that my eyes are getting older and more tired from squinting.
